Jacksonville Jaguars 7-Round 2024 NFL Mock Draft

Round 1, Pick 17: Brian Thomas Jr., WR, LSU

Jacksonville will have to decide on Calvin Ridley’s contract soon. But even if they elect to bring Ridley back, the Jaguars need to upgrade their WR room if they want to get back to the playoffs.

Brian Thomas Jr. is an excellent height/weight/speed wide receiver who wins on the vertical plane with ease. Thomas rarely drops the football, and his 6’4″ frame also makes him a reliable red-zone option.

    Round 2, Pick 48: Jackson Powers-Johnson, C, Oregon

The Jaguars can’t keep the center position as is, given how much it is crushing their offense. Something needs to change up front for Jacksonville’s offense to get out of the rut they’re currently in.

Jackson Powers-Johnson is a powerful mover in the run game who could lock up the center spot for years.

Round 3, Pick 79: Javon Bullard, DB, Georgia

The Jaguars’ defense started hot and tallied off at the end of the season, contributing to their late-season collapse. Part of that was a lack of playmaking from the secondary.

Jacksonville needs to replenish this unit if the defense wants to get back on track. Javon Bullard is a nickel/safety hybrid player, who brings great instincts and high energy on every play. Depending on the matchup, Bullard can kick down into the nickel or play deep, giving the Jaguars a reliable Swiss Army Knife in the secondary.

Round 4, Pick 112: Quinton Newsome, CB, Nebraska

Jacksonville must address their long-term depth at cornerback. Darious Williams and Tyson Campbell are in the last year of their respective deals. The Jaguars have to figure out how to replace them to continue to bolster the team’s secondary talent.

Quinton Newsome is a long, physical cornerback who can immediately start on the outside in the NFL.

Round 5, Pick 145: Nelson Ceaser, EDGE, Houston

It seems pretty likely the Jaguars will bring back Josh Allen, but they have to bolster their pass-rush depth so the former Kentucky standout and Travon Walker don’t have to play every snap.

Nelson Ceaser is a tad undersized, but he is high-energy with great quickness off the line of scrimmage and is pretty developed as a pass rusher. He would be a great designated pass rusher for the Jaguars to rotate in passing downs.

Round 6, Pick 177: Garret Greenfield, OL, South Dakota State

Jacksonville should continue to boost their depth along the offensive line.

Garret Greenfield was arguably the best FCS OT this season, with good movement skills and power. The South Dakota State Jackrabbit could be a reliable swing tackle option for the Jaguars or possibly kick inside and shore up Jacksonville’s depth at guard.

Round 7, Pick 208: Jamree Kromah, DT, James Madison

The Jaguars had an issue along the defensive line interior this season and once again got bit by a lack of depth. Improving their options in the trenches is a must this offseason.

Jamree Kromah has the frame and strength to play anywhere along the line. His 33 run stops finished second in the country last season, and he was also a respectable pass rusher along the interior. A disruptive player they can deploy anywhere, like Kromah, would be a worthwhile investment for Jacksonville.
