Chiefs vs. Dolphins Ticket Prices: Costs Go Viral as They Plummet Ahead of Extreme Weather

The Chiefs vs. Dolphins ticket prices have gone viral. Due to dangerous weather conditions, tickets are available for as low as $25.

The Wild Card game between the Miami Dolphins and the Kansas City Chiefs will be played in extreme conditions. The weather report shows subzero temperatures and wind gusts of over 25 mph.

The weather has led to ticket prices making headlines, with fans not wanting to attend the game due to safety warnings.

How Much Are Chiefs vs. Dolphins Ticket Prices?

The weather will be a huge factor in the Chiefs-Dolphins game, with temperatures plummeting. Taking into account wind chill, it is expected to feel like -23 in Kansas City.

The temperatures are dangerous, and the National Weather Service has issued a warning for fans, saying they must “cover all extremities including your head and face.” Many fans are choosing to stay at home in the warm — weather that be in Miami or around K.C.

The decreasing demand for tickets has seriously affected the prices at Arrowhead, with seats currently on sale on Ticketmaster for as low as $25.

To compare, the other Wild Card game being played on Saturday is Houston Texans vs. Cleveland Browns, which has the cheapest ticket at $118.

The plummeting prices have gone viral online with fans. One fan pointed out that it is more expensive to buy a Taylor Swift shirt on her website than to enter Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday night.

It hasn’t stopped Chiefs players from trying to encourage fans to attend, however, with Justin Reid saying, “we’re going to need it louder than it’s ever been.”

Another fan suggested that “fans who show up tonight to watch the Chiefs should be given some free tickets to a game or two next season.” While fans may revel in that idea, the NFL likely wouldn’t be so happy.

Meanwhile, Kevin Lighty, the chief meteorologist at WCIA 3, suggested that the ticket price is “not much more than a peacock subscription.” The Chiefs-Dolphins game is exclusively being broadcast on Peacock — it’s the first playoff game to be only available on the streaming service.

The only way to watch the game outside of the Miami or Kansas City areas is to purchase a Peacock subscription for $5.99. NBCUniversal paid $100 million to broadcast the game, which will now be played in dangerous conditions.
