After winning the Super Bowl last season, the Kansas City Chiefs won the division and advanced to the Super Bowl in 2023 as well, winning their second in a row.
With some questions about key positions that include wide receiver, the Chiefs will have some work to do in the offseason to return to the biggest stage in all of sports for a third season in a row. The 2024 NFL Draft will be the place to do it.
Kansas City Chiefs 2024 NFL Draft Picks
Kansas City enters the NFL Draft with six picks. They won’t have a sixth-round pick this year.

Kansas City Chiefs 7-Round 2024 NFL Mock Draft
Wide receiver has been a topic of discussion for Kansas City all season due to the amount of drops they have this year. As a result, they will likely attempt to find a future No. 1 receiver to replace Tyreek Hill. Other positional needs for the Chiefs include offensive line, defensive line, and cornerback.
Round 1, Pick 32: Kingsley Suamataia, OT, BYU
Since transferring to BYU from Oregon, Kingsley Suamataia has dominated on the offensive line for the Cougars as a full-time starter at tackle. Suamataia was named to the second-team All-Big 12 team this past season.
Kansas City has some youth at offensive tackle that can still be developed into top-tier talent, but the line has struggled throughout the season. Depth will be needed, so Suamataia would help improve the line and could even jump in as an immediate starter for the Chiefs.
Round 2, Pick 64: Roman Wilson, WR, Michigan
Roman Wilson may not have put up big numbers, but when the ball was in his hands at Michigan, he made things happen. The Wolverine wonder caught 12 touchdowns while recording 789 yards receiving this past season for the national champions. As a result, he was named second-team All-Big Ten while helping Michigan land the ultimate prize in college football.

Consistency at wide receiver is a major problem for Kansas City; the Chiefs don’t lack for speed at the position, but the number of drops has been concerning. Wilson is a burner who can make big plays at any time. Patrick Mahomes can benefit from having another talented receiver on the team.
Round 3, Pick 95: Javon Bullard, CB, Georgia
Javon Bullard progressed over the last three seasons, developing into one of the Georgia Bulldogs’ top cornerbacks. Bullard won two national titles and was named the defensive MVP of the National Championship in 2022 against TCU when he recorded two interceptions and a fumble recovery.
He finished the 2023 season with 56 total tackles, two interceptions, and five pass deflections.
The secondary has been solid, allowing the fourth-fewest amount of passing yards per game this season with 176.5. Star cornerback L’Jarius Sneed is entering free agency, and if he doesn’t return, Bullard can develop into a starter for the team.
Round 4, Pick 132: Mekhi Wingo, DT, LSU
Mekhi Wingo was a second-team All-SEC selection in 2022 and was on the path to being one of the top defensive tackles going into the 2023 NFL Draft. A midseason injury saw him miss significant time, but he was able to return for the bowl game and ended his final college campaign with 25 tackles and 4.5 sacks.
Chris Jones’ situation is one to monitor ahead of the draft after he played in 2023 on a one-year deal. It’s unknown if he will come back for the 2024 NFL season, so adding a defensive tackle like Wingo could help the Chiefs get younger at the position and add size to the unit at the same time.
Round 5, Pick 157: Xavier Thomas, EDGE, Clemson
After missing time in 2022, Xavier Thomas returned stronger for Clemson and put up 25 tackles, including three sacks and an additional tackle for loss, in 12 games. Thomas was a two-time All-ACC selection in 2019 and 2021. Meanwhile, he won the National Championship with the Tigers in 2018.
A full season of injury-free competition put Thomas back on the map as a potential NFL Draft prospect. Selecting George Karlaftis two years ago paid off — the Clemson pass rusher can continue Kansas City’s quest to rejuvenate the defensive front with an injection of young talent.
Round 7, Pick 249: Ty Hamilton, DT, Ohio State
Ty Hamilton had the best season of his college career in 2023, recording 38 tackles and two sacks for Ohio State. Hamilton had tallied 30 tackles and 2.5 sacks the previous two seasons combined.
At this stage in the draft, Kansas City will be looking for some late-round gold. With some analysts believing that Hamilton could go higher in the draft, grabbing a player who can add depth at nose tackle in the seventh round would be a steal.
