NFL World Reacts to A.J. Brown Wiping Instagram of Everything Eagles-Related Amid Turmoil

The Eagles will take on the Bucs on Super Wild Card Weekend -- is there more evidence of trouble in Philly with A.J. Brown's social media activity?

Nobody had a worse final month of the season than the Philadelphia Eagles. A team that started the year 10-1 and looked poised to build off and possibly duplicate what they had done the year prior has quickly turned and gone south.

They finished the year 1-5, and the vibes around the team have been just as bad off the field as they were on it. Fast forward to the current day, and A.J. Brown’s latest social media doings are not going to put out the flames of intrigue anytime soon.

Why Did A.J. Brown Wipe Instagram?

The Eagles are four days away from a road playoff matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Brown has chosen to make a bit of an update to his Instagram account.

In what has been a tumultuous past few weeks, Brown has chosen to remove all things Eagles-related from his Instagram page. While it doesn’t necessarily mean anything specifically, it isn’t going to calm down any whispers of trouble within that locker room.

Brown has been around the NFL enough to know that these types of things, whether something or nothing, will be brought up and be a distraction for his team, so the choice to do so is an interesting one.

It could mean nothing, and it may never become a thing for Brown and the Eagles — the timing of it all is certainly peculiar and will surely be discussed by local and national media leading up to the game, and more so if the Eagles don’t come out of Monday night with a win.

Brown Continues To Be Absent From Practice

While the social media drama and the consistent losing that has taken place recently for Brown and the Eagles is enough on their plate, Brown is also dealing with a knee injury that puts his status for this week’s game in jeopardy.

Brown did not participate in Thursday’s practice, which continues the trend of his absence that began on Wednesday with the same designation. Brown missing the game would be a problem for the Eagles as they are already dealing with an ankle issue for DeVonta Smith and a finger issue to the throwing hand of Jalen Hurts.

There are still three more days of practice before the game, giving Brown a few more chances to get on the field ahead of the matchup, but as it sits on Thursday, the vibes for Brown both on and off the field are not great right now.
