The 2023-24 NFL regular season has ended, meaning it is time for the playoffs. For some, though, it means the offseason has begun.
The end of the regular season also means that 2024 NFL opponents have been revealed for each team. Who does each team play next season?
What Makes the 2024 Schedule Different?
In 2024, the NFC will be the conference receiving nine home games, while the AFC received nine in 2023. The NFC will host a majority of the international games as well.
On top of that, there are some major matchups, such as the 49ers at Bills, Ravens at Cowboys, Rams at Lions, Bengals at Chiefs, etc.
How Does the NFL Scheduling Formula Work?
Teams engage in six games against their three division rivals, split evenly between home and away contests. Another four games feature matchups with teams from a rotating division within the same conference, determined by a three-year cycle.

Additionally, four more games involve teams from a division in the opposite conference, following a four-year cycle. Then, two intraconference games are based on the prior year’s standings, pitting first-place teams against similarly ranked teams in un-played divisions.
Finally, one interconference game, determined by a rotating four-year cycle, pairs a first-place team from one division against a counterpart from an opposing-conference division not initially scheduled. The remaining teams in each division also face off in similar fashion.
Now, what are each team’s home and away opponents?

The 2024 regular season will begin on Thursday, Sept. 5. The season will run through Jan. 5, 2025, in Week 18. Super Bowl LIX will conclude the season in New Orleans on Feb. 9, 2025.
What We Know About the NFL Schedule So Far
What we know right now is that typically the Super Bowl champions are the ones who host the first game on opening night in Week 1, setting up the Kansas City Chiefs being one of the teams we can expect to see first in 2024.
The Chiefs’ home schedule includes games against the Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, and Houston Texans, among others. The NFL may choose to start the league off with a bang with one of these marquee matchups.
We also know the NFL is expanding further into international markets in 2024, with five NFL teams hosting a game outside of the United States.
The Carolina Panthers will be hosting a game in Munich, Germany, while the Jacksonville Jaguars, Chicago Bears, and Minnesota Vikings will host games in London, U.K.
Rounding out the five host teams is the Philadelphia Eagles, who will be doing so in São Paulo, Brazil. The Eagles will be playing the Green Bay Packers on Friday night, a day after the opening game.
