You can probably fit all those who think the seriously banged-up Miami Dolphins will beat the Buffalo Bills Sunday inside Hard Rock Stadium’s 72 Club.
The Bills are three-point road favorites. They’re 12-2 in their last 14 games against the Dolphins, dating back to the start of the 2017 season.
After a 6-6 start, they have won their last four games this season. And by beating Miami Sunday, Buffalo will secure its fourth-straight AFC East championship and the conference’s No. 2 seed.
The Dolphins, meanwhile, are coming off a 37-point shellacking at the hands of the Baltimore Ravens. They are just 3-10 as underdogs in the Mike McDaniel era.
Both of Miami’s star wide receivers — Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle — are gimpy. And they will be without at least three of their best defensive players: Jaelan Phillips, Bradley Chubb, and Xavien Howard.
Can the Miami Dolphins Save Their Season?
It’s no wonder that the Bills are -162 to win — on the road, no less. But has there been too much of a pendulum swing against the Dolphins?
Is there no hope? Of course not.
The Dolphins still have the makings of an excellent offense, perhaps the best cornerback and safety in football in Jalen Ramsey and Jevon Holland, respectively, and a fantastic 1-2 punch up the middle in Christian Wilkins and Zach Sieler.
Miami has two of the league’s best minds calling plays on offense and defense in McDaniel and Vic Fangio.
They also have Tua Tagovailoa, who will become the NFL‘s leading passer with a solid game in the regular-season finale. They’re facing Josh Allen, who loves to give games away late.
Plus, the Dolphins are playing at home, where they have lost just three times in their last 22 games.
