Dolphins vs. Ravens Player Prop Bets: Picks for Gus Edwards, Tyreek Hill, and Isaiah Likely

    Published on

What are the Dolphins vs. Ravens player prop bets from our NFL betting experts as they examine the odds for this crucial Week 17 matchup?

The Miami Dolphins vs. Baltimore Ravens clash could very well shape the AFC playoff picture with control of the No. 1 seed on the line. Both teams have proven themselves to have very strong defenses in the last couple of weeks, so could we see the offensive players on both teams struggling to make an impact?

Our NFL betting experts have examined the Dolphins vs. Ravens player prop bets or Week 17 to try and identify the best values in the current betting lines and odds.

Top Miami Dolphins vs. Baltimore Ravens Player Prop Bets

Gus Edwards Under 39.5 Rushing Yards (-110 at ESPN BET)

Rolfe: I absolutely would not be shocked if Gus Edwards finds the end zone again this week, but I am not expecting big rushing yardage numbers from him.

In his last four games, Edwards has topped 35 rushing yards just once. He has not been a huge volume producer for the Ravens in recent weeks, instead playing more of a battering ram-type role.

The Dolphins’ defensive front is good, allowing an average of just over 62 rushing yards per game to opposing RBs in the last four weeks. We saw Justice Hill splitting work with Edwards last week, and that should be the case again this week.

This line is low enough that one big run would defeat it, but I just do not see Edwards as a shake-loose runner who could do that with any regularity.

Tyreek Hill Under 92.5 Receiving Yards (-115 at DraftKings)

Kyle Soppe: This feels like stepping in front of an oncoming bus, but this is a tough spot for Miami’s WR1. Jaylen Waddle has been ruled out, and while that could result in even more targets being funneled toward Hill, any gains from that spike in volume figures to be offset by increased attention from arguably the best defense on the planet.

The Ravens have had their moments of weakness, but they’ve proven more than capable of locking down an alpha WR1.

    • Deebo Samuel: 3.9 yards/target vs BAL (otherwise: 11.4)
    • Ja’Marr Chase: 2.9 yards/target vs BAL (otherwise: 9.5)
    • Calvin Ridley: 3.3 yards/target vs BAL (otherwise: 7.8)

The Ravens rank seventh in average time of possession this season, and if they can limit the play count, Hill could be in a tough spot to live up to expectations.

Isaiah Likely Over 43.5 Receiving Yards (-110 at ESPN BET)

Rolfe: This is quite simply about the usage levels of Isaiah Likely, who has gone over 50 receiving yards in his last three games and hit 40 in the one before that. Likely has been targeted 23 times in the past four weeks and is averaging over 60 receiving yards per game.

The Dolphins’ recent record against tight ends is good, but they have not faced anyone the caliber of Likely during that run. The Ravens have too many other weapons for the Dolphins to key in on stopping the tight end.
