Dallas Cowboys All-Pro guard Zack Martin suffered a quad injury during Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills.
The Cowboys’ 31-10 loss could continue to sting depending on Martin’s availability come Week 16.
What’s the Latest on Zack Martin?
Martin was injured early in the game and was initially ruled as questionable to return for the game. But after halftime, he was downgraded to out.
The veteran guard walked off the field and entered the blue medical tent during the game.
Martin was seen after halftime during the TV broadcast with his quad wrapped and pads off.
After the game, Martin spoke to the media to give an update on the injury and said he got hit deep in the quad, and it stiffened up after that.
“I’m hoping this week, treat it and get it ready to go on Sunday. I feel good about that,” said Martin.
Although Martin seems hopeful for a return, it is still unknown what the rest of the week can bring for him.
How Did T.J. Bass Look on Sunday?
In Martin’s absence, undrafted rookie T.J. Bass stepped in at right guard.
Bass has only started one game this season and, ahead of Week 15, had taken 196 snaps.

But he had a great game as he consistently held defenders off of Dak Prescott.
The rookie’s blocking was impressive against the tough pass rush the Bills’ defense was bringing.
Although Bass had a great game in a challenging environment on the road and with a silent count, the concern for the offensive line still lingers.
The unit has built enough continuity with all five starters in the last several games.
The right side of the line has struggled more this season with Martin and Terence Steele, who has been building back up after coming off of an ACL tear from last season.
However, if Martin is unavailable and Bass needs to step in, this could disrupt how the offensive line protects Prescott.
This is a domino effect because of the Cowboys’ noticeable struggles with the silent count on the road.
With the Cowboys playing the Dolphins next week, a solid offensive line is needed to be successful and avoid a repeat of Sunday’s loss against the Bills.
