The Las Vegas Raiders scored zero points last week. Apparently, they came into their Thursday night matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers wanting to atone for that — and more.
With an incredible offensive explosion, everyone produced for fantasy football managers who started players on the Raiders. What did we learn, if anything, about the fantasy values of Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers for the remaining two weeks of the fantasy season?
Davante Adams Rest-of-Season Outlook
After a dismal five-week stretch from Weeks 5-10, Adams has looked more like his elite self as of late. The talent was never in question — Adams is not declining in the slightest. The issue was rookie Aidan O’Connell’s ability to get him the ball.
Adams entered Thursday night with four straight 12+ fantasy point outings, but just one over 20. It was an improvement, but not what fantasy managers have come to expect from one of the best wide receivers of the past decade.

On Thursday night, though, Adams caught eight of 12 targets for 101 yards and a touchdown. To give you an idea of what this game was like — the touchdown Adams caught was from Meyers. It was the second reception he had from Meyers in this game.
The Raiders were just having fun out there. I would say they were treating it like a preseason game, but even in the preseason, I can’t imagine a team would call a wide receiver pass up 49-0.
The Raiders get the Kansas City Chiefs next week. Adams went 5-73 against them last time, but it’s really impossible to project anything substantially based on this game. If you have Adams, you’re starting him.
Jakobi Meyers Rest-of-Season Outlook
If you started Meyers, you were thrilled about the 15.68 points he got you. But this is now Meyers’ sixth game with 50 or fewer receiving yards in his last seven. O’Connell cannot support two receivers, and Meyers continues to be the one left out.
How did Meyers get to near-WR1 numbers? Well, he threw a touchdown. It’s highly unlikely that fantasy managers can bank on much of that going forward.

The Raiders quite literally did whatever they wanted offensively. After this performance though, is Meyers now a trustworthy option in fantasy lineups? Unfortunately, I don’t think so.
Meyers is undoubtedly a talented player. His touchdown reception was a diving grab, which was a thing of beauty.
But the target volume hasn’t been there on a consistent basis recently. Meyers saw 10+ targets in four of his first six games. He hasn’t seen more than seven since.
Fantasy managers with Meyers need to do what the Chargers plan to do — forget this game ever happened. The Raiders’ offense is not suddenly the 2007 New England Patriots. Remember, they scored zero points last week. This type of explosion is obviously a one-off, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they failed to reach 17 points against the Chiefs in Week 16.
Meyers has been a WR4/Flex option since O’Connell took over. That is how he should be viewed over the remaining two weeks of the fantasy season.
