With D’Onta Foreman returning to the lineup last week, the Chicago Bears once again have three running backs for fantasy football managers to choose from. But are Khalil Herbert and Roschon Johnson quality options for Week 15? We’ll give you the fantasy outlook for each player.
Should You Start D’Onta Foreman in Fantasy This Week?
After sitting out Week 12 with knee and shin injuries, Foreman returned last week and was the featured back once again. In the win over the Detroit Lions, he rushed for 50 yards on just 11 carries and added 22 receiving yards on a pair of receptions.
Foreman was on the field for 55% of the Bears’ offensive snaps, his highest percentage since Week 9.
While the Bears have three RB options, with at least 10 carries in five of his last seven games, Foreman is obviously Chicago’s No. 1 option.
It has no doubt been a frustrating season for him. He has missed five games this season due to injuries, but over his last seven games, Foreman is averaging nearly 70 scrimmage yards per game (69.2) and has scored five times in those seven games.
The Browns do have the league’s No. 1 defense, but they’re just 11th against the run for the season (103.3 yards per game allowed).
This seems like the right choice among the three Bears. (Yeah, I said it.)
Should You Start Khalil Herbert in Fantasy This Week?
While Foreman was given the ball immediately upon his return to the lineup last week, Herbert hasn’t been as fortunate since his own return from an ankle injury.
Herbert missed five games with his injury, but in three games since his return — including one start — he’s averaging just 8.3 carries and 22.3 rush yards per game.

Over the last two games, Herbert has been on the field for only 27 offensive snaps and nine carries combined.
With Foreman back and Johnson also in the mix for carries, Herbert’s most productive moments with the Bears appear to have been over the first five weeks of the season.
Should You Start Roschon Johnson in Fantasy This Week?
With Foreman out of the lineup in Week 12, Johnson got a chance to show what he could do with more time on the field. The reviews were mixed.
Just 35 yards on a career-high 10 carries. Johnson did have a career-high 40 yards receiving (on five receptions). But with Foreman returning last week, Johnson’s time on the field went from 52 offensive snaps in Week 12 to just 20.
Along with Foreman’s presence, quarterback Justin Fields takes up many of the carries for himself, leaving very little for Johnson or Herbert.

In the Pro Football Network Start/Sit Optimizer, our Consensus Rankings say that Foreman is the player to start. His projected 6.8 points include 46 rushing yards, one reception, and two receiving yards. His projected stat line outperforms the consensus projections of Johnson (6.0 points) and Herbert (4.5).
My ranking for these three Bears RBs aligns with the consensus. Foreman is the only one of the three getting serious work out of the backfield, and he should be able to outperform both Johnson and Herbert.
