Who Are the Chargers-Raiders Announcers Tonight on Amazon Prime? Everything You Need To Know About the Broadcast

The Los Angeles Chargers visit the Las Vegas Raiders to kick off Week 15 on Amazon Prime’s Thursday Night Football. This is their second meeting of the season, with the Chargers winning 24-17 in Week 4.

The Raiders are 2-2 in prime time, and Thursday is the team’s final scheduled prime-time appearance this season. The Chargers are also 2-2 in prime time and will play next Saturday night on Peacock against the Buffalo Bills.

Kickoff is at 8:15 p.m. ET, while the pregame show starts at 7 p.m. But who will be announcing the Week 15 matchup?

Who Will Be Announcing the Chargers-Raiders Broadcast Tonight?

Al Michaels will be doing play-by-play, Kirk Herbstreit is providing analysis, and Kaylee Hartung is reporting from the sidelines.

Herbstreit, who is in his second season with Amazon Prime, has been one of the faces of college football on ESPN since the 1990s. He played quarterback at Ohio State from 1989 to 1992 and was the team’s starter and MVP as a senior.

Hartung has worked with ESPN, the Longhorn Network, the SEC Network, CNN, and ABC during her career. She is currently a contributing correspondent for NBC’s “TODAY Show.”

Charissa Thompson hosts the pregame show that features former NFL players Richard Sherman, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Andrew Whitworth, and Tony Gonzalez.

Al Michaels: Out of the Playoffs

On Tuesday, the New York Post reported that Al Michaels will not be assigned to call one of NBC’s three playoff games — two Wild Card contests and one in the Divisional Round. The main team of Mike Tirico and Cris Collinsworth will call a game on both weekends, while Noah Eagle and Todd Blackledge will call a Wild Card game. Eagle and Blackledge are NBC’s lead college football team.

Michaels left NBC for Amazon Prime for the 2022 season but still called one of NBC’s playoff games. He called Sunday Night Football on NBC from 2006 to 2022 after calling Monday Night Football on ABC for 20 seasons.

Michaels was NBC’s play-by-play announcer for Super Bowl LVI in February 2022. It was his 11th Super Bowl play-by-play assignment, tying Pat Summerall for the most ever.

Last month, Michaels told the New York Post that he expected to call an NBC playoff game. He also said, regarding the third and final year of his Amazon Prime contract, “As far as I’m concerned, I’m doing next year. There’s no question about that in my mind.”
