It’s always a challenge to navigate through injuries in fantasy football. The RB position has several players dealing with issues. The time to set Week 15 lineups is near. What are the latest injury updates on Brian Robinson, Breece Hall, and Rhamondre Stevenson?
Latest News and Injury Updates Impacting Fantasy
Brian Robinson, RB, Washington Commanders
Analysis last updated Wednesday, Dec. 13 at 5 p.m. ET
Two weeks ago, Robinson left the Commanders’ game with a hamstring strain. With the team on bye last week, we didn’t get any sort of update.
The Commanders returned to practice today, but there was no sign of Robinson.
While Wednesday practices don’t matter, this is a unique circumstance with the team coming off a bye. The fact that Robinson was unable to practice is a cause for concern.
We can’t draw any definitive conclusions just yet, but it sure isn’t looking good for Robinson. Fantasy managers should operate under the assumption that Robinson won’t play this week.
If Robinson is out, Antonio Gibson will get the start. He will be a surefire RB2 with serious upside, especially with the Commanders likely to face a negative game script and Gibson being the primary receiving back.
In deeper leagues, rookie Chris Rodriguez is worth a look as well.

This should be a 70-30 split in Gibson’s favor, but Rodriguez is now one injury away from being the starter.
With the Commanders’ season over, there’s no guarantee Robinson will return at all. Gibson is already rostered just about everywhere and becomes immediately startable. Rodriguez now becomes a priority handcuff.
Breece Hall, RB, New York Jets
Analysis last updated Wednesday, Dec. 13 at 5 p.m. ET
Last week, Hall missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday before getting in a limited session on Friday, drawing a questionable tag, and ultimately having one of his best games of the season.
Hall came out of the game no worse for wear, but the Jets clearly don’t want to push him too hard at practice. Hall was limited on Wednesday as he continues to manage his ankle injury.
Given last week’s practice pattern, Hall is ahead of where he was last week. A bunch of players typically miss practice on Wednesdays this late in the season. The fact that Hall is practicing suggests he is fine.
Fantasy managers should have zero concern about Hall’s status for Sunday.
Rhamondre Stevenson, RB, New England Patriots
Analysis last updated Wednesday, Dec. 13 at 5 p.m. ET
Two weeks ago, Stevenson went down with an ankle sprain. He did not practice at all ahead of the short week, resulting in Ezekiel Elliott operating as an every-down back.
Although there are just four weeks left in a lost season, the Patriots did not place Stevenson on IR, suggesting they plan to bring him back this season if he is able to recover in time. Simply put, I don’t believe them.
From the moment Stevenson’s injury was revealed, it was reported he would miss multiple weeks. This week would be just his second.
Stevenson did not practice on Wednesday, and fantasy managers should expect that to remain the case throughout the week. While Stevenson has not yet been officially ruled out, which won’t happen until Friday, he is not going to play this week. I would be surprised if he plays again this season.
Elliott will once again operate as the clear RB1 and is a must-start in fantasy.
