A major reason why they’ve been consistently a threat is their head coach, Mike Vrabel. The Titans hired Vrabel as their head coach in 2018. What is his salary with Tennessee?

Vrabel was born on Aug. 14, 1975, in Akron, Ohio. He attended Walsh Jesuit High School before attending The Ohio State University where he played defensive end from 1993 to 1996.

During his time at Ohio State, he was a two-time All-American and two-time Big Ten Defensive Lineman of the Year.

He had 12 sacks as a sophomore, 13 as a junior, and nine as a senior. He was named to the Ohio State Football All-Century Team in 2000 and was inducted into the Ohio State Athletics Hall of Fame in 2012.

Following a very successful college career, Vrabel was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the third round of the 1997 NFL Draft. He spent four seasons with the Steelers before going to the New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs for the rest of his career.

He joined the Patriots in 2001 as a free agent where he became a key piece. He was with the Patriots until 2008. In 2007, he was named to his first Pro Bowl and a First-Team All-Pro linebacker. He finished his playing career with Kansas City, where he spent two seasons.

In his 14-year NFL career, Vrabel played in 206 games, starting 140. He had 57 sacks, 11 interceptions, 19 forced fumbles, and 41 pass deflections. He also had one defensive touchdown and 10 receiving touchdowns.
