Josh Jacobs was the last player that the Las Vegas Raiders could afford to lose. However, he ended up gingerly hobbling to the locker room in the fourth quarter of a 0-0 game against the Minnesota Vikings. What do we know about the RB’s injury?
Josh Jacobs Injury Update
Jacobs took a 2nd-and-4 carry for a yard and had Harrison Phillips land with his full body weight on top of the runner, who was fighting for every inch. The Raiders RB was clearly in pain as he limped toward the sideline.
On the next Raiders drive, Jacobs was seen heading to the locker room with a significant limp.

The team posted on X (formerly Twitter) that Jacobs is questionable to return with a knee injury.

After a career year with the Raiders a season ago, the running back earned the franchise tag this offseason as he fought for a long-term extension. Saquon Barkley took a similarly hard stance at first, but each player decided to play out the 2023 NFL season instead of following in the footsteps of Le’Veon Bell.
It hasn’t worked out for either player. Any leverage they had for a long-term extension is gone, and the running back market will likely remain tanked.
Fantasy Impact of Jacobs’ Injury
Jacobs finally started producing quality games back in Week 9. Unfortunately, his recent run of 95+ rushing in three of his last four games could be coming to an end against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 14.
He totaled 34 yards rushing on 13 carries on Sunday. If Jacobs is out of the lineup, the next player to see an expanded role will be RB Zamir White, who had just 18 carries for 46 yards heading into Week 14.
