In Week 14, the “ban the kicker” movement gained steam, as there were several clockwork kickers who missed some critical extra points and field goals. Now, heading into Week 15, deciding on a kicker is scarier than usual for fantasy football. What kickers should you target on the waiver wire this week to stream heading into Week 15?
Kicker Streamers for Week 15
Younghoe Koo, ATL (@ CAR) – 63% Rostered
Sure, Younghoe Koo missed two field goals on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in an unusual turn of events, but you can jump right back into the fire. Prior to Week 14, Koo had only missed one field goal all season, and he has only missed one extra point.
The Falcons head into Carolina still in the playoff hunt for the NFC South, so look for Koo to have some opportunities as well as a fire in his belly to get some redemption.
Cameron Dicker, LAC (@ LV) – 64% Rostered
The meteorologists were working overtime, getting fantasy managers apprised of the rain, snow, and wind going into Week 14, but the best weather is always in a dome. The Chargers and Cameron Dicker head to Las Vegas to take on the Raiders, who have allowed the 13th-most fantasy points to opposing kickers.
Dicker is perfect on field goals and extra points through Week 14, so he is as close as automatic as you can get at this point in the season.
Jake Moody, SF (@ AZ) – 48% Rostered
Jake Moody is the kicker on one of the best offenses of the year. That alone should make fantasy managers want to consider him. Throw in that the Niners are heading to Arizona to take on the Cardinals in a dome and the fact that they can taste the No. 1 seed, and Moody is a great choice this week.
San Francisco plays Washington in Championship week, so if you can afford to hold on to him, the Commanders allow the second most points to kickers.
Riley Patterson, DET (vs. DEN) – 53% Rostered
Riley Patterson was another kicker who had a rough time on Sunday, missing an extra point and not having any opportunities to kick a field goal. To be fair, the entire Detroit offense looked out of whack in the loss to the Bears, so it is not all on Patterson.
The matchup against Denver is at home, in a dome, and the Broncos have allowed the eighth most fantasy points to opposing kickers. After the Broncos, the Lions head to Minnesota, which is an even better matchup.
Greg Joseph, MIN (@ CIN) – 6% Rostered
Greg Joseph is another low-rostered option to pick up for Week 15. Minnesota heads to Cincinnati, and Josh Dobbs has come back down to Earth, so the chance of field goal opportunities over TDs has increased as of late. Joseph has hit 18 out of 23 field goals this season, including five over 40 yards.
