The Dolphins return to Monday Night Football for a record 87th time. After two straight road wins — wins over the Jets and Commanders — they are back home at Hard Rock Stadium, where they have won 17 of 19.
The Dolphins (9-3) are in search of just their third double-digit win total since 2008. They have outscored their opponents by 107 points this year — second-most in football.
Seven Titans-Dolphins Stats From Inside Edge
Stat: The Titans have run successful plays on just 15.4% of pass attempts when their quarterback was under pressure this season-worst in the NFL. The Dolphins have pressured opposing QBs on 29.5% of passing plays this season — third-best in the NFL.
Analysis: The Dolphins’ front and back ends are playing in perfect harmony right now. Certainly, it helps when your starting cornerbacks — Xavien Howard and Jalen Ramsey — have a passer rating against 78.8 and 12.5.
Stat: The Dolphins have scored on 44.4% of their drives in the first quarter this season — fourth-best in the NFL. The Titans’ defense has allowed scores on 39.3% of opponent drives in the first quarter this season — third-worst in the NFL.
Analysis: And here’s what’s wild: The first quarter is the Dolphins’ worst this year. Their point differential, per quarter (in chronological order) — +6, +48, +54, and +10.
Stat: The Titans have scored on 22.2% of their drives in the fourth quarter this season — tied for third-worst in the NFL. The Dolphins defense has allowed scores on 23.7% of opponent drives in the fourth quarter this season — fifth-best in the NFL.
Analysis: Whatever halftime adjustments Vic Fangio is making, they’re working. In their last five games, the Dolphins defense has allowed 25 points on 25 defensive possessions in the second half.
Stat: Titans QBs have been 42 sacked this season — fifth-most in the NFL. The Dolphins have sacked the quarterback 41 times this season — tied for third-most in the NFL.
Analysis: Even without Jaelan Phillips, the Dolphins’ pass rush is a bear. In the team’s first game since Phillips’ season-ending Achilles injury, they sacked Washington Commanders QB Sam Howell three times and hit him nine.
Stat: Tua Tagovailoa has a 105.7 passer rating since the 2022 season — second-best of qualified quarterbacks. The Titans have allowed a passer rating of 95.1 since the 2022 season — fourth-worst in the NFL.
Analysis: This would be a horrendous matchup for the Titans even if Kristian Fulton were healthy. But he is not. We’re not saying the Dolphins are going to score 70 again. But we’re not, NOT saying it.
