The 2023 fantasy football regular season is nearing its conclusion. With just one week remaining, fantasy managers now have their eyes set on the playoffs.
For most leagues, the trade deadline has passed. But if you can still make trades in your league, here are a handful of players to explore trades for and buy low or sell high on.
Fantasy Football Week 14 Buy-Low Trade Targets
Here are a few players fantasy managers should be looking to acquire at a low price, if possible.
Justin Herbert, QB, Los Angeles Chargers
It’s been surprisingly straightforward to predict Justin Herbert’s performance. He struggles against good pass defenses and excels in games where the Los Angeles Chargers have to throw. His disappointing efforts against the Baltimore Ravens and New England Patriots don’t come as a shock.

At this point, trading for players — if you can still do it — should be directed at specific weeks and matchups. In the fantasy playoffs, Herbert gets the Las Vegas Raiders, Buffalo Bills, and Denver Broncos. I don’t love the Week 17 matchup, but Herbert is in a prime position to get you to the championship.
Austin Ekeler, RB, Los Angeles Chargers
I am definitely worried that Austin Ekeler, at the age of 28, is beginning to decline. He looks slower and less explosive, and the performance backs it up. With that said, Ekeler is not this bad.
Ekeler has been victimized by some rough matchups and poor touchdown luck. Three of the Chargers’ next four games are against bottom-six run defenses.
Before this three-game stretch of disappointment, Ekeler scored 20+ in three straight weeks. The upside still exists. If you can find a way to buy him very cheap with the playoffs on deck, creating a scenario where you really can’t lose the trade, do it.
D’Andre Swift, RB, Philadelphia Eagles
It was another disappointing outing for D’Andre Swift. He carried the ball six times for 13 yards while catching just two passes for seven yards.
The performance is disappointing, but Swift remains the Philadelphia Eagles’ RB1. And the schedule is about to get nice.
Next week they see the Dallas Cowboys. After that, for the fantasy playoffs, Swift plays three bottom-10 run defenses. We could see some really big games from Swift during the most important weeks of the season. If you can get him now, go for it.
Drake London, WR, Atlanta Falcons
Few things were more predictable than Drake London posting a complete dud against the New York Jets this week. But the week before, he caught five passes for 91 yards.
London is not a screaming buy by any means. This is if fantasy managers are frustrated at the result against the Jets, as well as if you can get him for really cheap.
London is just a WR3, but better days are ahead. Three of the Atlanta Falcons’ last four games in the fantasy season are average-to-good matchups. Take a chance on getting a WR3 for next to nothing, but don’t pay anything significant.
Keenan Allen, WR, Los Angeles Chargers
Can you actually buy Keenan Allen low? Probably not. But he is coming off a disappointing game, his first one since Week 7. It’s as good of an opportunity as we’re going to find.
In the fantasy playoffs, the Chargers get the Raiders, Bills, and Broncos. I don’t love the Week 17 matchup, but Allen could be the overall WR1 in Week 16. If your team has a bye and doesn’t have Allen, you should look into acquiring him for anything at par value or better.
Pat Freiermuth, TE, Pittsburgh Steelers
Pat Freiermuth’s dud against the Cardinals’ elite tight end defense was entirely predictable. He will probably struggle again next week against the Patriots. It’s afterward that you may want him.

In the playoffs, the Pittsburgh Steelers get the Indianapolis Colts, Cincinnati Bengals, and Seattle Seahawks. Specifically, the Week 16 matchup against the Bengals is exactly why you should look into acquiring him. Only the Broncos are worse at defending the tight end.
Fantasy Football Week 14 Sell-High Trade Options
Here are a few players fantasy managers should be looking to sell at a high price, if possible.
Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins
It feels like 280 yards and two touchdowns for Tua Tagovailoa is a disappointment, given how many points the Miami Dolphins scored.
Tagovailoa is obviously still a very good quarterback, both in real life and fantasy. The problem is he just enjoyed his last favorable matchup of the season.
The Tennessee Titans are an OK matchup next week, but it’s the fantasy playoffs that are the problem. Tua gets the Jets, Cowboys, and Ravens. All three are extremely tough against the pass.
Tagovailoa will still be startable, but the ceiling games may not be there. If you can sell him for a QB with a better schedule, it might be worth considering.
James Conner, RB, Arizona Cardinals
Since returning from injured reserve, James Conner has been incredibly underwhelming. His best game before Week 13 was 8.3 fantasy points. Against the Steelers, Conner exploded for 102 yards on 25 carries and two touchdowns. This is the perfect opportunity to sell him.
First and foremost, the Cardinals are on a bye next week. If you have a win-and-in scenario, Conner isn’t helping you.

Secondly, the Cardinals’ playoff schedule is brutal. Two of their three matchups are against the San Francisco 49ers and Eagles, two of the best run defenses in the NFL.
In the past, Conner has supplemented his fantasy value with receiving work. That has not been the case this season, as Conner hasn’t even been targeted in two of his four games and has a total of six receiving yards since returning.
This game was very likely a fluke. Trade him if you can.
David Montgomery, RB, Detroit Lions
The only game in which David Montgomery hasn’t scored a touchdown this season is the game in which he injured his ribs. That’s been great for fantasy managers, but it’s a risky game to play.
Montgomery is a complete zero in the passing game. Since returning from injury, he has a total of three catches on five targets. Montgomery will need to continue his touchdown-scoring ways to maintain usefulness. It would be prudent to try and sell him as an RB1 if you can.
DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Tennessee Titans
It’s incredible how dependent DeAndre Hopkins has been on touchdowns for his production. He still has just two 100-yard games on the season. But after two straight games with only five targets, Hopkins caught five of 12 targets for 75 yards and a touchdown.
The schedule is about average the rest of the way. This is about the player. Hopkins simply hasn’t been a reliable starting option all season. He is very likely to dud at least one week during the fantasy playoffs. If he’s in your lineup when he does, it could cost you. Get out now if you can.
Courtland Sutton, WR, Denver Broncos
He just keeps doing it. Courtland Sutton keeps finding the end zone. He has now scored in all but three games this season. I just refuse to believe this is sustainable.
Sutton caught just two passes against the Houston Texans. Naturally, they went for 77 yards and a touchdown.

The volume is not there for Sutton. He’s seen more than seven targets in just two games this season.
The rest-of-season schedule is very favorable, so don’t just give him away, but Sutton looks like the perfect piece to package with another player for a serious WR upgrade to one of the elites.
Kyle Pitts, TE, Atlanta Falcons
Every time Kyle Pitts has a remotely decent game it is another opportunity to sell him. Against the Jets’ elite pass defense, Pitts caught four of eight targets for 51 yards. The eight targets marked his highest since Week 5.
Even in what was one of his best games of the season, Pitts still didn’t reach double-digit fantasy points. This is just a blip. You probably can’t sell him on this game alone. However, Pitts’ name continues to carry value. If you can sell him, you should do it.
