Quarterbacks dominate the 2024 NFL Draft conversation, and many will bypass postseason games to focus on their future.
We see multiple quarterbacks go in the first round of this 2024 NFL Mock Draft, including one who is a first-timer.
2024 NFL Mock Draft
1) Chicago Bears (From CAR): Drake Maye, QB, North Carolina
All eyes are on what Chicago wants to do with Justin Fields because that dictates who they’ll select in the 2024 NFL Draft. If the Bears decide they don’t want to extend their quarterback, then you can bet they’ll take one with the first pick.
Drake Maye’s regular season ended with a flop, but he’s hardly been the problem. A lack of protection and a defense that’s struggled mightily at times continuously put him in a tough spot. Still, he’s shown the arm talent worthy of being the first pick.
2) Arizona Cardinals: Caleb Williams, QB, USC
If Chicago takes Maye with the first pick, Arizona’s going to have a tough time passing on Caleb Williams, regardless of what they think of Kyler Murray. They’re essentially decided between two players who have similar skill sets, but one has a bigger frame.

Murray’s size has always been a question coming into the NFL, but he’s been an electric playmaker for the Cardinals at his peak. Williams can do the same with his arm and his legs, but there won’t be questions about his size.
3) New England Patriots: Marvin Harrison Jr., WR, Ohio State
With Maye and Williams off the board, the Patriots find themselves in a great spot to take an elite wide receiver. Marvin Harrison Jr.’s been Ohio State’s go-to guy when they need a big play, and he’s delivered every time.
While Mac Jones’ future with the organization remains in question, they might have to stick with him if they can’t trade up. They don’t in this 2024 NFL Mock Draft, but they still get an elite talent.
4) Chicago Bears: Laiatu Latu, EDGE, UCLA
You’d be hard-pressed to find someone playing better than Laiatu Latu lately. In his last five games, he’s produced 11.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks. Simply put, he’s been unblockable. With the Bears looking for a lengthy edge player to beef up their defense, Latu gives them a solution to that problem.
5) Washington Commanders: Dallas Turner, EDGE, Alabama
When watching the Commander’s defensive line the last couple of years, I’ve noticed that they play with an edge. They were a vicious unit that would maul anyone in their way to get to the quarterback. Now that they’ve traded both Chase Young and Montez Sweat, they need a young prospect to fill one of those spots.
Dallas Turner fits the above description. He’s a ferocious pass rusher who plays through the whistle. Sometimes, he gets flagged for it, but you can’t ask him to turn off his motor. You can only ask him to try and contain it within the parameters of the play. Still, the Commanders find another elite weapon up front that brings back the attitude needed upfront.
6) New York Giants: Joe Alt, OT, Notre Dame
Joe Alt brings a massive frame to the New York Giants organization, and his game gives them an upgrade on the line. Alt stood out on a Notre Dame offensive line that leaned on him heavily to make plays. He’s a great pass protector, giving whoever the Giants put at quarterback time to make plays.
7) Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Olumuyiwa Fashanu, OT, Penn State
While the Bucs do need a quarterback, there appears to be a dropoff from the top two guys to QB3. So, for now, they take Fashanu in this 2024 NFL Mock Draft. Olu Fashanu is still developing his game, but the raw tools are tough to ignore. He’s also faced plenty of quality competition, so the transition to the NFL shouldn’t be too much.
8) New York Jets: Brock Bowers, TE, Georgia
If Aaron Rodgers can get back to full strength, the Jets can hold off finding a quarterback for another year. If that’s the case, then Brock Bowers is the pick in this 2024 NFL Mock Draft.
The Jets need a playmaker on offense to help Garrett Wilson, and Bowers gives them a versatile weapon that can do a lot for the offense. He can line up in the backfield and out wide to be both a rusher and pass catcher for this offense, making him a great hybrid player for Rodgers to utilize.
9) Los Angeles Chargers: Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB, Alabama
The Chargers sit dead last in passing yards allowed per game. That warrants a pick in the secondary in my opinion. Kool-Aid McKinstry enters a tough situation, but his poise and control on the field give the Chargers an upgrade to help their pass defense woes.
10) Tennessee Titans: JC Latham, OT, Alabama
Talks of Mike Vrabel being on the hot seat are the current area of discussion, but the Titans also have their sights set on the draft. The offensive line needs some help, and they get one of the strongest players in the country in JC Latham.
He’s been an anchor for the Crimson Tide this year, and he can do the same for the Titans. It appears they’re giving Will Levis a chance to be the future, and now they need to give him time to make plays.
11) Las Vegas Raiders: Jayden Daniels, QB, LSU
Not only is Jayden Daniels making a strong push for the Heisman, but he’s also making his case for QB3. In this 2024 NFL Mock Draft, the Raiders decide he’s their guy, and the fit makes sense.
Daniels will need to learn to slide and not take so many hits in the open field, but he’s an electric playmaker who’s developed well as a passer. After throwing to Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas all year, he’ll also love when he gets to throw to Davante Adams in Vegas.
12) New Orleans Saints: Keon Coleman, WR, Florida State
Derek Carr should be extremely happy with this selection. He’s already with Chris Olave and Michael Thomas, but adding the uber-athletic Keon Coleman makes his life even easier. The Florida State star saw his stock skyrocket this year. The Saints will be happy if this 2024 NFL Mock Draft selection becomes a reality.
A combination of his skill set and Mike Norvell’s offense helped get him to this point, and now he finds himself as a first-round prospect. It also justified Coleman’s decision to leave an imploding Michigan State program for the Seminoles.
13) Green Bay Packers: Terrion Arnold, CB, Alabama
Jaire Alexander gives the Packers a solid CB1, but they’re looking to pair him with another guy who can help him more. Terrion Arnold’s still developing as a prospect, but many believe he’s the best corner on his team.
He’s an athletic player who’s showing that he has a knack for making plays, and the Packers would love to add his skill set to their secondary. Throw in his competitive nature, and he’d pair extremely well with the uber-competitive Alexander.
14) Los Angeles Rams: Amarius Mims, OT, Georgia
Amarius Mims continues playing at a high level, and a top-10 selection could be in his future. He’s proven to be a strong anchor for the Bulldogs offensive line, and his value became obvious to that team when he was hurt.

Now that he’s back, Georgia has their sights on a third straight national championship, and the Rams get to see what their potential future star tackle can do against elite competition.
15) Cincinnati Bengals: Rome Odunze, WR, Washington
With Tee Higgins set to become a free agent, the Bengals may decide to go in a different direction. Joe Burrow needs someone to replace Higgins, and the Bengals get that in this 2024 NFL Mock Draft.
Rome Odunze has great agility for his size. He’s a fluid mover who’s shown the ability to create separation in small spaces. He’s also 6’3″ and 215 pounds, so he also brings good size to the position.
16) Buffalo Bills: Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State
Stefon Diggs needs a good complement to help him out. If the Bills decide to let Gabe Davis walk, then Emeka Egbuka could be their solution to that problem. While everyone gushes over Marvin Harrison Jr., Egbuka’s quietly having a good season.
His durability might come into question, but he’s still a solid receiver worth taking in the first round. He frequently creates separation, and he’d only get better learning from Diggs. Quarterback Josh Allen wouldn’t complain if he had another easy target downfield, too.
17) Arizona Cardinals (From HOU): Jared Verse, EDGE, Florida State
Arizona’s in a rebuild, and having multiple first-round picks helps in that regard. They need help getting to the quarterback, and seeing Jared Verse on the board makes this pick easy. The verse brings great play strength to the Cardinals, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him become a leader in the locker room shortly after his arrival.
18) Denver Broncos: Jer’Zhan Newton, DT, Illinois
Denver plays defense with an attitude, and that’s why Jer’Zhan Newton fits in so well. He may not have the size of a prototypical first-rounder, but his game speaks volumes for his draft stock. He’s a disruptor for one blue and orange team, and he’ll do the same for a new blue and orange team in the NFL.
19) Atlanta Falcons: Michael Penix Jr., QB, Washington
It’s becoming more evident that the Falcons aren’t satisfied with their options at quarterback, so the draft might be where they find their new franchise player. With guys like Bijan Robinson, Kyle Pitts, and Drake London on the offense, they can’t afford to waste that talent.
Michael Penix Jr. already plays in a loaded offense, so joining the Falcons would be more of the same for him. He’s got a big arm that can help him take the top off a defense, and that opens up the field for everyone in Atlanta.
20) Indianapolis Colts: Malik Nabers, WR, LSU
With Michael Pittman set to become a free agent, the Colts are in the market for a WR1. Anthony Richardson appears to be the answer at quarterback, but he’ll need weapons around him to help him develop.
Malik Nabers is a problem in the open field. Most of the time, his team just needed to get him the ball and let him go to work. He’s a top-10 talent who could be gone way before this, but teams won’t waste time snatching him up if he happens to drop.
21) Minnesota Vikings: Carson Beck, QB, Georgia
I’ll admit that Carson Beck is more than likely going to be a prospect next, but lately, he’s shown tools that make him an intriguing player, even for this 2024 NFL Mock Draft. Minnesota needs a quarterback for the future. Kirk Cousins and Josh Dobbs simply won’t be that for them.
Beck is still learning with Georgia, but he’s shown why he’s one of the most talented passers in the country. A quick decision-maker who can put some serious zip on the ball, Beck has all of the tools necessary to compete at the next level.
22) Seattle Seahawks: Chop Robinson, EDGE, Penn State
Robinson could be a top-5 pick, but he needs the right team to make that happen. He’s an explosive-edged player who can be a menace to the offensive tackle he’s facing, and the Seahawks fanbase would love having someone like him. This defense has a lot of potential, and that only gets better with Robinson up front.
23) Pittsburgh Steelers: Taliese Fuaga, OT, Oregon State
Taliese Fuaga just feels like a great fit for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He’s a tough, strong tackle who quietly gets the job done. No one on the Oregon State roster did more for his draft stock this year than Fuaga, and now he gets to prove his worth in black and gold.
24) Houston Texans (From CLE): Ja’Lynn Polk, WR, Washington
C.J. Stroud and Tank Dell give the Texans one of the most entertaining duos in the league, but it wouldn’t hurt to give Stroud a complement to Dell. While the former Houston Cougar can dominate in the slot, adding a bigger receiver to stretch the defense would help even more.
MORE: 2024 NFL Draft Prospect Watchlist
While the spotlight for Washington is on Rome Odunze, Ja’Lynn Polk continues pushing him while elevating his draft stock as well. The Texans get a big-body receiver in this 2024 NFL Mock Draft, and Polk gets a chance to remind everyone that he can be a great weapon for his future team.
25) Miami Dolphins: Kingsley Suamataia, OT, BYU
Miami needs a younger option on the offensive line, and they’ll address that in the draft. Kingsley Suamataia isn’t getting a ton of recognition due to BYU’s struggles, but he has the skill set to be a first-round pick. The former Oregon transfer provided stability up front for the Cougars offense, and now he can do the same for the Dolphins.
26) Dallas Cowboys: Kalen King, CB, Penn State
Everything that teams need to know about Kalen King comes from his experience against NFL wide receivers in college. His performance this year against Ohio State’s Marvin Harrison Jr. showed that he can handle any amount of talent, and the Cowboys give Trevon Diggs help opposite of him.
27) Detroit Lions: Jeremiah Trotter Jr., LB, Clemson
Jeremiah Trotter Jr. recently declared for the draft, and he’s going to a great spot in this 2024 NFL Mock Draft. With Jack Campbell already on the roster, adding Trotter gives the Lions two young stars at linebacker.
Both Campbell and Trotter will fly around the field, and they’d be one of the more entertaining duos to watch in the league. Trotter’s a natural at the position, and he continues to add to his family legacy in the NFL.
28) Jacksonville Jaguars: Adonai Mitchell, WR, Texas
With Calvin Ridley and Christian Kirk helping Trevor Lawrence already, the Jaguars take another weapon to help the offense in this 2024 NFL Mock Draft. Adonai Mitchell made a smart choice by transferring to Texas, and his clutch plays lately have garnered plenty of attention. His ability to perform at a high level in key situations is what sets him apart from most in this class.
29) Kansas City Chiefs: Xavier Legette, WR, South Carolina
It’s been speculated that Xavier Legette will run somewhere around a 4.3-second 40-yard dash, which is terrifying considering he comes in at 6’3″ and 227 pounds. A freak talent like this will need some help refining his game, but the Chiefs are a great spot for him to learn the nuances of being a pro and his position.
30) San Francisco 49ers: Patrick Paul, OT, Houston
Barring something major, it’s going to be tough for me to give the 49ers anyone but Patrick Paul. Houston’s star tackle brings a similar skill set to current 49ers tackle Trent Williams. From the length to the ferocity, Paul has the tools to thrive at the next level. He just needs to learn to harness his aggression.
31) Baltimore Ravens: Nate Wiggins, CB, Clemson
Baltimore has the veterans to give Nate Wiggins help in becoming a pro. While he has some areas to improve, his length gives him an advantage over many. Throw in good speed, and he has the foundation to compete with the talent at receiver in the NFL.
32) Philadelphia Eagles: Graham Barton, OL, Duke
We still don’t know what position he’ll play, but that versatility gives the Eagles plenty of options. Many believe he’ll be a center at the next level, making him a good replacement for Jason Kelce when that time comes.
