Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Rachaad White has found some form as of late after a slow start to the season. White has been producing some excellent fantasy results for fantasy managers. Yet, yesterday afternoon, fantasy football managers were left shocked to find White had been added to the injury report at the last minute, leaving his status questionable for today’s game vs. the Indianapolis Colts.
Will White play today versus the Colts? What is the latest to this last-minute injury and appearance on the injury report? And, if White does play, what is his potential outlook for today?
Is Rachaad White Going To Play Week 12?
White practiced in full on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. However, late Saturday afternoon, the Buccaneers listed his status as questionable for today’s game against the Colts. This late shock is never good news for fans and fantasy managers alike.
However, Adam Schefter of ESPN posted an update around 11 p.m. ET on X with regards to White’s late appearance on the injury report. He wrote, “Buccaneers added RB Rachaad White to their injury report on Saturday as questionable for Sunday’s game only as a matter of precaution, per source.”
He went on to say, “There is nothing structurally wrong with White’s knee, it briefly locked up on Friday and, just to be careful, the Buccaneers added him to their injury report. But he is playing Sunday vs. the Colts and in the words of a source, ‘He is fine’.”
Therefore, White is very likely to play today. However, what does that mean for his fantasy outlook today against the Colts?
What Is White’s Potential Fantasy Outlook for Today?
White has been in exceptional form for fantasy managers over the past month or so. White was the RB2 over the past four games, behind only Gus Edwards.
White is currently ranked as RB16 in our PFN Consensus Rankings for Week 12. Personally, this feels a little low for a player who has finished RB11, RB1, RB12, and RB14 in each of the past four weeks.

And the Colts have been conceding a significant amount of fantasy points to running backs this season. The Colts are currently allowing the seventh-most fantasy points to running backs this season, allowing 23 fantasy points per game.
White has not been an efficient runner this season, but he’s improved in recent weeks. Additionally, he has been integral in the passing game. White is averaging 5.25 targets in his last four games. He has only failed to catch three of his 44 targets so far this season as well.
Touchdowns are also something White is starting to find in his game. White has five touchdowns this season. However, four of those have come in his last three games, so he is certainly on a hot streak. And this should be taken into account.
White is certainly a must-start in all fantasy formats for fantasy managers. However, if you play in a half-point PPR league or a full-point PPR league, White carries RB1 upside this week and is likely to finish there. He also carries RB1 upside in standard leagues due to his recent touchdown exploits.
So embrace the wave he is on and a favorable matchup against the Colts. Fantasy managers should enjoy the returns this week.
