The final week of November can often bring weather forecasts that disrupt NFL games as we head into the official start of winter. Mixed weather reports for NFL games should be the expectation going forward, but what is the forecast for Sunday and Monday’s games in Week 12 of the NFL season, and how will the fantasy football landscape be affected?
Weather forecasts are up to date as of 4:15 a.m. ET on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2023. Forecasts for the games are from the National Weather Service.
Week 12 NFL Weather Report and Fantasy Impact
Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals | Sunday, 1 p.m.
- Expected Temperature: Mid-40s
- Showers: 60% chance at kickoff increasing throughout the game
- Wind: 11 mph southwesterly
The current weather forecast for the AFC North battle between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals looks fairly wet. The rain is supposed to start in the build-up to kick off and continue throughout the game, with the potential for increasing intensity as the game goes on. On its own, the rain is not a major issue, but combined with slightly elevated winds, it could be.

At just over 10 mph, the winds are not dramatically high, but there could be enough to cause a few issues, especially on a wet day. The other issue here is that this game is not likely to be blessed with high-caliber quarterback play.
We know Kenny Pickett’s limitations at this point, and Jake Browning is potentially going to have some growing pains in his first start for the Bengals. It will be tough to bench a player of the caliber of Ja’Marr Chase, but the other pass catchers are going to see a slight downgrade in this weather.
New England Patriots at New York Giants | Sunday, 1 p.m.
- Expected Temperature: Mid-40s
- Showers: 10% chance at kickoff rising throughout the game
- Wind: 5 mph southerly
There is a decent chance we will see some showers at some point in this game, but the impact should be minimal. The rain will not be accompanied by any major wind, so we should not see scoring depressed — well, at least not because of the weather.
The problem in this game is more about the quality of the passing games on show than the weather. The options here are slim, with Demario Douglas as the only pass catcher you can really consider for the Patriots. Tommy DeVito opened things up a little last week, but Darius Slayton was the only reasonably consistent weapon, other than Saquon Barkley) and he is listed as doubtful.
Carolina Panthers at Tennessee Titans | Sunday, 1 p.m.
- Expected Temperature: Mid-50s
- Showers: 60% chance at kickoff and falling throughout the game
- Wind: 10 mph southwesterly with gusts up to 18 mph
It looks like being a wet and windy day in Tennessee as the Carolina Panthers face the Titans on Sunday. There is a decent amount of rain forecast to fall as things stand, and the gusts could be annoying, at least in the first half when the worst of them is forecasted.
The main pass-catching option in this game is DeAndre Hopkins, and it will be hard to bench a player of his quality. There is not another Titans pass catcher that is assured enough volume to worry about in the majority of leagues.
For Carolina, it is really the Adam Thielen show in terms of pass catchers. He is a fringe Flex option with this weather, but probably one that should get enough volume to be a fantasy starter.
Cleveland Browns at Denver Broncos | Sunday, 4:05 p.m.
- Expected Temperature: High-30s
- Showers: <10% chance at kickoff
- Wind: 6 mph westerly
It is looking like a lovely day in the Mile High Stadium for the game between the Broncos and Browns. Arguably the biggest issue here could be the sun during the first half. With a limited sky-cover forecast, we have seen the low sun in Denver cause issues during games. However, it should only be an issue for a brief amount of time.
Buffalo Bills at Philadelphia Eagles | Sunday, 4:25 p.m.
- Expected Temperature: High-40s
- Showers: 25% chance at kickoff increasing throughout the game
- Wind: 7 mph southeasterly
Finishing off a weekend of potentially wet games is the matchup between the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles.

The overall forecast is not that much of a cause for concern because the wind is minimal, and the temperature will be fine. There should be no detrimental fantasy impact here.
