Who Are Tim Boyle’s Parents? Meet Kevin and Nancy Boyle

Sitting at 4-6 heading into Week 12, the New York Jets decided to bench Zach Wilson in favor of veteran Tim Boyle. Who are Boyle's parents, Kevin and Nancy?

The New York Jets‘ playoff aspirations are disappearing each week. They sit at 4-7 heading into Week 12 and have decided to bench Zach Wilson in favor of veteran Tim Boyle.

The Jets were expected to be led by Aaron Rodgers heading into the season, but an Achilles injury derailed that plan and put the former second-overall selection, Wilson, back into the driver’s seat.

With Boyle preparing for his fourth-ever NFL start, who are his parents?

Who Are Tim Boyle’s Parents, Kevin and Nancy?

Tim Boyle was born on October 3, 1994. He grew up in Middlefield, Connecticut, and attended Xavier High School. He was born to Kevin and Nancy Boyle.

Following his time at Xavier, Boyle committed to the University of Connecticut, where he spent three seasons. During his time at UConn, he passed for 1,237 yards, one touchdown, and 13 interceptions. He was benched just weeks into his true freshman season. But his parents still propped him up.

In three seasons with the Huskies, he had three different head coaches and four offensive coordinators. He was set up for failure. His parents attended every game.

“It was painful to watch the losses, the missed opportunities, the lows of the game, and how he had to continue to fight through it. At times, we were his inspiration, and at other times, he was ours,” said Kevin Boyle.

After his time at UConn, Boyle transferred to Eastern Kentucky to finish out his career. He would redshirt one season and then pass for 2,134 yards, 11 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions in his last year.

Following an up-and-down college career, Boyle went undrafted in the 2018 NFL Draft. He signed with the Green Bay Packers, where he spent two seasons backing up Aaron Rodgers. Boyle and Rodgers reunited in New York this offseason.

After his first NFL season, Boyle surprised his parents with a trip to Hawaii as a small token of appreciation, over a decade after they drove him around to youth football and 7-on-7 camps.

Following his time in Green Bay, Boyle spent a year in Detroit and Chicago each before joining the Jets. He has started three career games (all in Detroit) and has, in total, passed for 607 yards, three touchdowns, and nine interceptions.
