It’s now mid-November, and fantasy football managers are working harder than ever to make the right decisions that propel them to the playoffs. Four teams are on bye this week, so there are tough roster choices to make this Sunday.
The Las Vegas Raiders and Minnesota Vikings have recently made quarterback changes, and both also have talented receivers. So which receiver should you start with, Jakobi Meyers or Jordan Addison?
Jakobi Meyers Fantasy Outlook This Week
The Raiders are running hot after removing Josh McDaniels as head coach. The offense has relied more on stars Davante Adams and Josh Jacobs, but Meyers’ reliability has flashed over the season.
Meyers has earned eight targets over the past three games, but in the first six games of the season, he had four games with 10+ targets. Team morale may be high, but there’s no denying the drop in Meyers production recently.
Raiders starting quarterback Aidan O’Connell replaced Jimmy Garoppolo, but Las Vegas has leaned into a run-first offense. O’Connell has only averaged 26 pass attempts in his last two games, so secondary options in this passing attack will likely be held to lower numbers.
Jordan Addison Fantasy Outlook This Week
After a slow start to the season, the Vikings have won their last five games. The team lost Justin Jefferson to a hamstring injury, but he has returned to practice, and his return to game action will happen shortly.

In his absence, Addison has become a pillar of the offense, earning 32 targets over the last four games. Those targets will likely decrease as soon as Jefferson returns, but there is the possibility that the team limits his playing time or holds him out for one more game.
Minnesota recently acquired quarterback Joshua Dobbs to replace an injured Kirk Cousins, and the offense has been electrifying. Addison has finished as the No. 2 target in both of Dobbs’ two games, trailing only tight end T.J. Hockenson in receptions.
Should You Start Meyers or Addison This Week?
In the Pro Football Network Start/Sit Optimizer, PFN’s Consensus Rankings say that Addison is the player to start. His projected 10.9 fantasy points include a projection of four receptions for 47 yards. That doesn’t seem like a big stat line, but it outperforms the consensus projection for Meyers (10.3 fantasy points).
My rankings agree with the consensus due to the supporting cast each receiver has and how involved Addison has been compared to Meyers. Meyers is the secondary option in a passing game with limited upside.
Even if Jefferson returns to the lineup Sunday, the Vikings have averaged 35 pass attempts over the past two games. As mentioned, the Raiders have only averaged 26 during that span.
Addison should receive more targets even as the Vikings’ third option compared to being the No. 2 on a run-heavy offense in Las Vegas.
This Sunday, the Raiders face off against the Dolphins, while the Vikings square off Sunday night against the suddenly hot Denver Broncos. While the Broncos’ defense has improved, I still firmly believe Addison will outscore Meyers this week.
