Chicago Bears running back D’Onta Foreman is dealing with some sort of injury suffered in the first half of Thursday night’s game against the Carolina Panthers. Here is the latest we know.
Latest D’Onta Foreman Injury Update
Foreman was captured by a fan at the game slowly walking off the field before going directly to the bench, flinging his helmet to the ground in frustration.
Reporters on location at Soldier Field tweeted that Foreman, who had rushed for 39 yards on 10 carries, went to the blue medical tent for further evaluation. Upon exiting, he tried to loosen up whatever was bothering him on the sideline.

The Bears did not immediately announce the nature of Foreman’s injury. He got banged up early in the game but tried to fight through it. After sitting out the final drive of the first half, Foreman was back in the lineup after the break.
Foreman ended the night rushing for 80 yards on 21 carries, including the Bears’ only touchdown on the evening — a 4-yard TD run midway through the third quarter to put the Bears on top for good.
Foreman was the Bears’ featured back Thursday, with Khalil Herbert still on injured reserve. Chicago’s only other available running backs Thursday were Roschon Johnson, Darrynton Evans, and Travis Homer.
Even with the injury to Herbert, the Bears entered the night ranked fourth in rushing yards per game (135.3) and sixth in yards per carry (4.6).
Fantasy Implications of D’Onta Foreman Injury
Foreman was running well before taking himself out of the game, but was able to return. If Foreman had not returned, the Bears would have utilized Evans and Johnson in a committee.
Given that Herbert practiced in full all week, he appears close to a return. With another 10 days between now and the Bears’ next game, fantasy football managers should expect Herbert to be activated.
