The lengthiest injury report of the season for the Cincinnati Bengals included some expected names, such as wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase with his back issue, but fellow starting receiver Tee Higgins was a surprise addition.
The Bengals listed Higgins as limited today with a hamstring injury. It’s unclear whether it was something he tweaked during Sunday night’s 24-18 win against Buffalo or if Higgins injured his hamstring during today’s practice.
Will Cincinnati Bengals WR Tee Higgins Play on Sunday?
Higgins was on the injury report in Weeks 5-6 with a fractured rib, but he did not have an injury designation ahead of the Week 7 game at San Francisco and played the entire game against both the 49ers and Bills, with the latter resulting in a season-high 110 yards on eight receptions.
All totaled there are eight Bengals on the injury report, the highest number for a Wednesday practice all year. In addition to Chase, starting defensive end Sam Hubbard (ankle) and backup defensive tackle Josh Tupou (shoulder) did not practice.
This is Hubbard’s first appearance on the injury report in any capacity this season.
Two others in addition to Higgins were listed as limited — backup cornerback and special teamer Jalen Davis (ankle) and linebacker and special teams staple Akeem Davis-Gaither (ankle).
Davis-Gaither missed four games with a knee injury before returning to action Sunday night against the Bills.

Also listed with injury designations were wide receiver/punt returner Charlie Jones, who the team cleared to practice this morning after missing five games following thumb surgery, and starting cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt (quad).
Head coach Zac Taylor said Chase is still sore and would be limited if he did anything at all today, which he didn’t. Taylor said that at his afternoon news conference before practice began.
Taylor said the key to determining whether Chase plays is “just if he’s feeling better. We’ll just work through the week and see where he’s at.”
Taylor said he was unsure if Jones would be able to return to action Sunday against the Texans, but the fact that he was a full participant today is a good sign.
There was no mention of any of the other injuries during the Taylor news conference, so we should have a better idea of where Higgins, Hubbard, and the others stand tomorrow.
