The Week 10 waiver wire is like every other week at the tight end position: There just isn’t much out there. Waiver adds at TE are very much an exercise in chasing your tail and hoping to catch it just once. With that in mind, here are some potential targets for fantasy football managers on the wire this week.
Top TE Waiver Wire Targets in Week 10

Cade Otton, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5% Rostered)
After failing to score more than 10.3 fantasy points in any game this season, Cade Otton exploded for 23 fantasy points against the Houston Texans in Week 9. He caught six of nine targets for 70 yards and two touchdowns — all season highs.
Tight end production is largely an exercise in chasing your tail. A player does well. We pick him up. We start him. He goes back to not mattering.
That’s probably what’s going to happen with Otton. On the off chance it doesn’t, he’s worth having on your roster to find out.
FAAB Recommendation: 3-8%
Jonnu Smith, Atlanta Falcons (28% Rostered)
There’s a lot we can’t be sure of, especially at the TE position. But one thing I am sure of is that Jonnu Smith is a better tight end than Kyle Pitts.
Yet, one is rostered in over 90% of the leagues, and the other is largely on waivers. How many weeks must Smith outproduce Pitts before we accept that he’s just better?
This past weekend, Smith caught five of six targets for 100 yards and a touchdown. I doubt we see a better week from Smith in the future, but the fact that he’s even capable of this makes him worth a look on the waiver wire.
FAAB Recommendation: 2-5%
Which TEs Should You Roster in Fantasy Football?
Should You Roster Cade Otton or Gerald Everett?
This is the ultimate “What have you done for me lately?” proposition.
Gerald Everett hasn’t exactly lit the world on fire this season, but he put up double-digit fantasy points in Weeks 6 and 7 prior to getting hurt in Week 8. His 9.0 fantasy points in Week 3 was also a respectable number.
Otton, meanwhile, just dropped a career-high 23 fantasy points. Prior to last week, he wasn’t really any different than Everett. He was Everett on a worse offense with stiffer target competition.

Even with that in mind, I’m willing to chase the recent production. We know Everett is never going to make a difference at the position. Last week was probably an outlier for Otton, but on the off chance it wasn’t, it’s worth the gamble to find out. The opportunity cost is next to nothing.
Should You Roster Jonnu Smith or Hunter Henry?
Both Smith and Hunter Henry were TE1s last week. It was Henry’s first TE1 performance since Week 2. It was also the first time he found the end zone since Week 2. Coincidence? I think not!
Ultimately, that’s what tight ends like Smith and Henry boil down to.
Do they score? Both did in Week 9. Smith’s touchdown just happened to be from much farther out, resulting in him totaling 100 yards. Otherwise, these are two relatively similar assets.
This one is pretty much a toss-up. But believe it or not, I trust the Falcons’ offense more than the Patriots’. I trust Taylor Heinicke more than Mac Jones. If these are my only two options at tight end, I would go with Smith.
