Week 10 QB Waiver Wire Targets: Top Players To Add Include Joshua Dobbs and Will Levis

It is always a challenge to find every-week startable quarterbacks off the waiver wire. Who are the top Week 10 waiver wire pickups at the QB position?

The waiver wire is rarely rich at the QB position. We are now in Week 10. At this point, the surprise QB1s have already been added. Unfortunately, all we really have are glorified streamers. But there is one rookie who remains an unknown, which, in this case, is a good thing. Fantasy football managers should give him a look.

Top QB Waiver Wire Targets in Week 10

More Waiver Wire Targets: WRs | TEsRBs

Joshua Dobbs, Minnesota Vikings (16% Rostered)

One of the NFL’s best stories, journeyman Joshua Dobbs, was traded to the Minnesota Vikings to back up Jaren Hall, at least for one week. After Hall left with a concussion in the first quarter, Dobbs was thrust into action after being with the team for a mere five days.

Dobbs played better than anyone could’ve asked, throwing for two touchdowns and running for a third. He added 66 rushing yards to boot.

Simply put, Dobbs is a gamer. The state of the quarterback position in fantasy is as bad as I can remember. Dobbs was one of just two QBs to crack 20 fantasy points after the completion of the 1 p.m. ET slate. He’s well worth picking up.

    FAAB Recommendation: 5-10%

Will Levis, Tennessee Titans (45% Rostered)

It appears as though Will Levis was dropped in enough leagues after Thursday night to make him eligible for the waiver wire column. Good for fantasy managers in need of a QB!

Levis may not have thrown a touchdown against the Steelers, but he still looked like he belonged, throwing for 262 yards and almost leading a game-winning drive in the fourth quarter.

The Titans are about to face a slew of soft pass defenses. Next up is the Bucs pass-funnel defense that C.J. Stroud just torched for 470 yards and five touchdowns. Levis isn’t doing that, but is 250 yards and two TDs in his range of outcomes? Absolutely. He’s worth picking up if you need a QB.

    FAAB Recommendation: 2-7%

Which QBs Should You Roster in Fantasy Football?

Should You Roster Joshua Dobbs or Taylor Heinicke?

Here we have two quarterbacks who weren’t starting for their respective teams as recently as two weeks ago. Dobbs was traded to the Vikings to backup Hall. Taylor Heinicke was backing up Desmond Ridder.

An injury forced Dobbs into early action, while poor play resulted in Heinicke taking over for Ridder.

Heinicke has far more experience than Dobbs. He brings a more stable floor, as his passing numbers will be better most weeks. However, Dobbs brings a much higher ceiling. Additionally, Dobbs brings rushing upside that Heinicke does not.

Given how many games Dobbs already has with more than 20 fantasy points (four), he’s a borderline every-week fantasy starter. Give me Dobbs here.

Should You Roster Will Levis or Jordan Love?

We’ve now seen Levis start two professional football games. He has shown infinitely more promise than Jordan Love. I would stop short of saying Levis is definitely the Titans’ answer at QB, but I’m quite confident he will be their starter in 2024. I am equally confident that for the Packers, it won’t be Love.

With that said, Love has been a serviceable fantasy QB this season. Outside of his disastrous Week 5 performance, he’s gotten to 13.8 fantasy points every week. That’s at least not destroying your matchup.

At the same time, his strong start to the season feels like ages ago. Since throwing for three touchdowns in each of his first two starts, Love has just a single multi-touchdown game. He hasn’t topped 230 passing yards since Week 4.

Love is trending in the wrong direction, while Levis is just getting started. If you need a floor play weekly, I still trust Love more. But if you’re chasing QB1 potential, go with Levis.
