Did CeeDee Lamb and Jalen Hurts Play Together for the Oklahoma Sooners?

Lamb spent his entire three-year college career with the Sooners, while Hurts spent his first three collegiate seasons at the University of Alabama before transferring to Oklahoma.

The pair’s stints in Norman, Oklahoma, overlapped for one season, though, in 2019.

It was Hurts’ first and only campaign with the Sooners as he threw for 3,851 yards, 32 touchdowns, and eight interceptions while also running for 1,298 yards and 20 more scores. He finished runner-up for the Heisman Trophy, college football‘s top honor, as then-LSU quarterback Joe Burrow won the award.

Lamb was Oklahoma’s leading receiver and Hurts’ favored target that season. He racked up 62 catches for 1,327 yards and 14 touchdowns and also scored one rushing TD, finishing his career with the third-most receiving yards (3,292) and second-most receiving touchdowns (32) in program history.

When Were Hurts and Lamb Drafted?

Both players declared for the 2020 NFL Draft after leading the Sooners to a Big 12 title and appearance in the College Football Playoff.

Lamb was selected 17th overall in the draft by the Cowboys, while Hurts fell to 53rd overall as the Eagles’ lone second-round pick in the draft. Philadelphia took wide receiver Jalen Reagor in the first round, four picks after Lamb came off the board.

The pair have quickly taken off since entering the league.

Lamb has tallied 900+ receiving yards in each of his first three seasons and is on pace to do so again in 2023. Hurts is coming off two successful seasons after taking over as the Eagles’ full-time starter late in his rookie season.
