Week 8 gave these two franchises wildly different outcomes ahead of this matchup. The Tennessee Titans seemed dead in the water going into their game against the Atlanta Falcons a week ago. With QB Ryan Tannehill out and some combo of Malik Willis and Will Levis expected under center, the future looked bleak.

Besides two rushes from Willis, Levis started under center and surprised many, completing 65.5% of his passes for 238 yards and four touchdowns. After weeks of offensive ineptitude, was Levis the piece the Titans needed to turn their 2023 campaign around?
He faces a much tougher test against a Steelers defense doing everything in its power to help this franchise win games. After holding the Jaguars to three field goals in the first half, the defense finally gave way as Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville offense scored a touchdown with five minutes left in the third quarter, sealing the game.
But Levisis looking forward to the game regardless. “Playing or not, I’ve had this game circled on the schedule just because of how great the environment will be,” Levis said Tuesday. “We’re ready to handle it. I’m just looking forward to going and taking it all in and doing my thing.”

After leaving the game in the first half due to a rib injury, Steelers QB Kenny Pickett would not return for the second half. While Mitchell Trubisky finished out the game, the Steelers hope to have the second-year QB back tonight. Head coach Mike Tomlin says it’s a game-time decision, but if it’s up to Pickett, expect to see him on the field.
“I’m playing, for sure,” Pickett said, via ESPN.
Both young QBs will be tested in different ways tonight. The Titans’ defense has hemorrhaged passing yards and production this season. Can Pickett and the Steelers offense finally find a way to take the next step against a favorable matchup? As for Levis and the Titans, how will he handle a much tougher test facing off against the Steelers’ suffocating defense?
