Does the ManningCast Air Tonight on Monday Night Football?
Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli Manning will take the week off for Week 8’s clash. But here’s how to watch Monday Night Football tonight, as Las Vegas and Detroit will kick off on ESPN and ABC at 8:15 p.m. ET.
Las Vegas Raiders at Detroit Lions
- Start time: 8:15 p.m. ET
- Channel: ESPN, ABC
- Live stream options: ESPN+, YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV
Despite the hiccup last week, the Lions have looked like one of the best teams in the NFL this season. While the signs were there last season, Detroit finally started hot and is reaping the rewards.
What helped them take the next leap? The 2023 NFL Draft class has been a major boost.
On the offensive side, first-round RB Jahmyr Gibbs is starting to heat up. After some questionable usage early in the season, the injury to David Montgomery thrust Gibbs into the starting role.
Gibbs had his best game of the season in Detroit’s Week 7 loss, with 126 scrimmage yards and a touchdown. With another starting opportunity, he should feast against the Raiders.

As for the defense, LB Jack Campbell and safety Brian Branch have already made an impact to help shore up holes in the unit. Branch is among the team leaders in passes defensed and took his only interception so far this season 50 yards to the house. The Raiders, meanwhile, lead the league in turnovers this season. Could the rookie be due for another?
Campbell has helped strengthen the rush defense. Detroit has allowed just 3.7 yards per carry this season, tied for third best in the NFL. The Lions also have the second-lowest average rushing yards per game allowed at 76.4.
With the Raiders’ offense struggling mightily this season, will the ferocious Lions defense give them much room to breathe tonight?
