Fantasy Injury Update: Raheem Mostert, Zack Moss, and Jerome Ford Impacting Week 8 Rankings

What is the status of injuries regarding Raheem Mostert, Zack Moss, and Jerome Ford? Here is the latest heading into the Week 8 games.

Fantasy football managers have all the teams to choose from in Week 8, as no one is on a bye. That does not make lineup decisions any easier, especially with injuries. Here is the latest on Raheem Mostert, Zack Moss, and Jerome Ford.

    Latest Fantasy Injuries Week 8

    Raheem Mostert, RB, Miami Dolphins

Prone to injury, Raheem Mostert caused some concern in fantasy circles when he did not practice on Wednesday with an ankle tweak. He returned to the practice field on Thursday and Friday and logged limited practices.

The Dolphins listed Mostert as questionable for Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots. Mostert has made it clear that he plans to play, but now that Salvon Ahmed and Jeff Wilson Jr. are both healthy and active, the Dolphins could limit Mostert’s touches to avoid running him into the ground.

Mostert is currently RB2 on the season and is RB13 in PFN’s Consensus Rankings.

    Zack Moss, RB, Indianapolis Colts

Colts RB Zack Moss had a mixed week of practice. He did not practice on Wednesday and Friday but logged a limited practice on Thursday. His elbow and heel are listed as the ailments, and he is questionable for this week’s game against the New Orleans Saints.

The Saints’ defense is tough against the run, and if Moss is out, then it will be the Jonathan Taylor show. Even if Moss plays, his snaps have started to decrease as Taylor’s are going up, which we knew would happen within a few weeks.

Moss is RB33 in PFN’s Consensus Rankings for Week 8.

    Jerome Ford, RB, Cleveland Browns

Browns RB Jerome Ford left the game on Sunday with an ankle injury that was later described as a “low grade, high ankle” sprain, and he was expected to miss 1-2 weeks. Ford did not practice all week, but to many people’s surprise, he practiced in a limited fashion on Friday.

Ford is listed as questionable now for Sunday’s game and should be a game-time decision. If Ford is unable to go, expect a combination of Kareem Hunt and Pierre Strong Jr. to take over the backfield.
