The NFL world has witnessed the much debated “brotherly shove” or “tush push” throughout the season from the Philadelphia Eagles. Tyreek Hill of the Miami Dolphins got to see it front and center on Sunday as his team fell 31-17.
But is The Cheetah on board with the league putting a stop to the unstoppable play for the Eagles, especially after watching the dominating trench display himself in Miami’s second loss?
Tyreek Hill Offers Strong Take on Tush Push
Hill addressed the topic on his It Needed To Be Said podcast.
“It’s one of those plays that they like starting a new wave…it’s a QB-sneak, and it’s very unstoppable,” Hill began.
He then described, from his own eyes, why the play has been so effective for the Eagles in short-yardage situations.
“I feel like with their All-Pro offensive line that they got, and then Jalen Hurts, who’s able to squat like 600 pounds…then you got A.J. Brown pushing you in the back, you got the tight end pushing you in the back…it’s hard to stop, man,” Hill said.
“I’ve seen those guys do it on 4th-and-2 once and get it, which is crazy.”
There are some vocal critics of the play. Some believe Hurts gets the advantage of having the extra push, with some citing an assisting the runner call that needs to be made. The play has shown to be at its best when Hurts gets the extra push from behind to gain the first down or touchdown.
Hill, however, sent this message to the league.
“I’m hoping that the league don’t stop it. They shouldn’t because I feel it’s legal,” Hill said.
Is Hill Expected To Play Amid Hip Ailment?
Outside of defending the Eagles’ unstoppable short-yardage formation, many across the league have wondered about the health of Miami’s All-Pro wide receiver.
Hill is currently dealing with a hip ailment that had many fans and analysts wondering if he’ll be healthy for the Week 8 contest versus the New England Patriots.

Well, captured by Sun Sentinel Dolphins reporter David Furones, there was the sight of Hill dancing:

And once reporters asked Hill if he would be good to go versus the Pats, Hill responded with, “Yeah, baby. I’m good, baby.”
Miami will aim to get back into the win column against a Patriots team that stunned the defending AFC East champion Buffalo Bills in Week 7.
