Any time you can get praise or be compared to the greatest of all time, it’s going to open some eyes. However, when it’s the man himself, Tom Brady, doing the comparison, it can really grab your attention.
Such is the case on the latest episode of Brady’s Let’s Go Podcast, where he went out of his way to heap praise on one of the NFL‘s current great quarterbacks.
Brady is the unquestioned greatest quarterback of all time. A seven-time Super Bowl champion who had played the game for over two decades has accomplished essentially everything a QB can in the profession. While some may think it would be near impossible to duplicate that type of career, Brady was unafraid to mention one name he thinks has a chance.

Tom Brady Discusses if Current QB Can Duplicate His Career
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, it is clear to see who the best quarterback in the NFL is these days. Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is a Super Bowl champion twice over now and feels like he’s just getting started on what promises to be a legendary career.
The greatest of all time agrees, and when asked if he thought anybody could even come close to duplicating what he was able to do in his playing career, there was only one name Brady mentioned.

“Good question. I mean, I think when I’m looking at guys in pro football, Patrick is the one that really stands out,” Brady said.
“They’ve done a great job since he’s really taken over. And he’s got a really great coach — like I was fortunate like you were fortunate — that helps you and…gives you the humble pie when things are going good and knows how to pick you up when things aren’t good.”
Brady is well known for how he trained and took care of his body. While that is a huge part of it, the fact that he wasn’t a running QB is a part of the reason for his longevity and partly why he thinks it’ll be a challenge for others to play the position as long as he did.
“I think, unfortunately, the way the game’s going, guys are running the ball a lot more. It just makes for a shorter career.”
Either way, it is certainly high praise for Mahomes and comes from the one man who you would want to hear it from. Mahomes has a lot of time left to catch up to Brady and his pedigree, but if anyone can do it, he looks like the man for the job.
Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs Pick Up Where They Left Off
It may not be possible to be a quiet 6-1, especially with all the news around Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, but that’s where it feels like the Chiefs are right now. While others are focusing on the Philadelphia Eagles and the Miami Dolphins, the Chiefs are just doing what they consistently do – and that’s win.
It may be the burden of expectation that they’re facing, with everyone assuming they’ll just be there in the end, but the fact of the matter is that Kansas City is playing really good football right now and looks primed to defend their Super Bowl title from a year ago.
