Prisoner Who Won a Massive NFL Parlay To Pay His Bond Goes Viral

The viral story behind one bettor making bond by winning over $13,000 on a six-team NFL moneyline parlay bet.

The only two unbeaten teams in the NFL going into Week 6 each lost on Sunday in shocking defeats. The Cleveland Browns defeated the San Francisco 49ers as 9.5-point underdogs. Meanwhile, the New York Jets, who were getting 7 points on Sunday, beat the Philadelphia Eagles for the first time in franchise history.

Any time there is an upset in the NFL, it’s typically a big loss for the betting public and a huge win for the sportsbooks. Well, with two major upsets in one day, it was the best NFL Sunday of the season for the sportsbooks so far. Both teams were heavily bet on against the spread and were even more popular inclusions in teasers and moneyline parlays — a crushing blow to the betting public.

It was the opposite for one bettor, however, who had the Jets beating the Eagles outright as one of the legs in his six-leg parlay that won over $13,000. What’s even crazier to believe is where this bet was placed and the story behind it.

Bettor Wins Over $13K on NFL Parlay From Jail To Make Bond

On Monday, a TikTok video from @saetv22 went viral where he is calling someone from jail to place a parlay bet for him. He placed $500 on a six-team moneyline parlay on the Detroit Lions, Los Angeles Rams, New York Jets, Las Vegas Raiders, Buffalo Bills, and New York Liberty.

The parlay ended up cashing, with the Bills as the last leg on Sunday Night Football, winning this bettor over $13,000 — more than the $10,000 he needed to make bond.

Just wow. What an impressive win and a crazy story. It’s hard enough to hit a three-leg parlay, but a six-teamer?! Although the parlay included two heavy favorites in the Rams and Bills, both the Jets and Liberty were underdogs on Sunday — two sharp picks to say the least.
