Following Stevenson’s departure, Ezekiel Elliott took his place and punched in a touchdown from two yards out to put the Patriots in a three-point deficit.
Prior to the injury, Stevenson tallied 30 yards on six carries. This season, he has put up 188 yards on 68 carries, averaging 2.8 yards per carry. So far this season, the Patriots have averaged only 83.8 rushing yards per game.
Fantasy Fallout From Stevenson’s Injury
The Patriots offense may be without one of their biggest playmakers for the remainder of the game, with Stevenson being evaluated by team physicians. If Stevenson misses any time for the remainder of this game or in the coming weeks, Elliott gets a nice boost in fantasy value as the leading man in the Patriots backfield.
The offense has struggled to score points this season, which should cap Elliott’s fantasy ceiling, but he would enter the low-end RB2 conversation while Stevenson is out of the lineup.
