Garrett Wilson Injury Update
Wilson slipped on a route after appearing to get his foot caught in the MetLife Stadium turf. It was a non-contact injury, which is always concerning in the moment.
Wilson was initially evaluated in the blue medical tent on New York’s sideline, but he was soon spotted running and getting loose. He even gave a trainer a high-five while waiting on the sideline.

Wilson looked at film with a coach, hopped around, and spoke with Zach Wilson, all positive signs suggesting Wilson would return to the field when the Jets began their next offensive drive — which he eventually did.
However, late in the fourth quarter, Wilson appeared to suffer another lower leg injury. He limped off the field and was spotted consulting with trainers on New York’s bench.
After the game, head coach Robert Saleh said Wilson wasn’t seriously injured and could have returned on Sunday if necessary.
Wilson, the reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year, posted 83 catches for 1,103 yards and four touchdowns in 2022. He’d put up a 24-279-2 line heading into Week 6 and has three receptions for 27 yards so far today.
What Would the Jets’ Offense Look Like Without Wilson?
Wilson was enjoying one of his best starts to a game this season, with three receptions for 27 yards in the first half against the Philadelphia Eagles. If this injury forces Wilson to miss any time moving forward, Allen Lazard and Tyler Conklin would likely get a slight bump in the fantasy rankings at their respective positions. The loss of Wilson would likely make life a bit more difficult for both Breece Hall and Zach Wilson, too.
