Davante Adams had been playing through an injury in recent weeks, and the All-Pro wideout may have suffered another on Sunday. What happened to the Las Vegas Raiders‘ best offensive player in Week 6, and what is Adams’ current injury status?
From the current NFL standings to team depth charts to coverage of every game in the 18-week NFL schedule, we have all the news from around the league to keep you up to speed!
Davante Adams Injury Update
Adams took a massive hit from New England Patriots defensive back Jabrill Peppers near the end of the first quarter. Adams lost control of the ball following Peppers’ hit, allowing Patriots linebacker Jahlani Tavai to intercept it.
The veteran wide receiver was able to leave the field under his own power. Thankfully, Adams reappeared with the Raiders’ offense on their next drive after being evaluated for a concussion.

Still, it might be worth monitoring Adams’ health for the rest of today’s game, especially given that he’s been battling a shoulder injury. Adams did not practice Wednesday and was limited Thursday before managing a full practice Friday.
Adams has dominated opportunities in the Raiders’ offense through five weeks, leading the club in targets (54), receptions (37), receiving yards (442), and touchdowns (three).
What Would the Raiders’ Offense Look Like Without Adams?
If Adams were sidelined, his absence would significantly change the outlook of every other pass catcher in the Raiders’ offense.
Were Adams to miss any time, Jakobi Meyers would immediately get the biggest bump in the fantasy rankings. He would likely enter top-20 consideration on a weekly basis.
Other Vegas receivers who would likely see more work in the passing game would include Hunter Renfrow, Tre Tucker, and DeAndre Carter.
