The Top TEs To Start in Week 6

    Sam LaPorta, Detroit Lions

In five short weeks, Sam LaPorta has elevated himself from “nice flier option” to “bona fide starter/potential league-winner.” He’s been a top-10 performer at the position in three of his past four games, and this offense is doing an amazing job at scheming him open.

The lone moving piece is the target distribution when both St. Brown and Williams are active. That’s not to say I’m worried about it; it’s just worth noting that the duo hasn’t been on the field at the same time this season.

    Jake Ferguson, Dallas Cowboys

The Week 5 blowout at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers wasn’t enough to scare me off the scent of Jake Ferguson. He saw exactly seven targets in three of his first four games this season, and volume like that is simply difficult to find at the TE position these days.

Is the upside great? No, but Dak Prescott is all aboard the struggle bus, and I expect a run-centric attack this week. That doesn’t mean Ferguson can’t record a handful of grabs and flirt with double-digit fantasy points — an outcome that is more than acceptable for my TE9.
