    How Did the Denver Broncos Beat the Kansas City Chiefs in 2015?

    The last time the Broncos beat the Chiefs came on Sept. 17, 2015, by a final score of 31-24. It would be the first of two matchups that season and the last time the Broncos have beaten the Chiefs.

    That day, Peyton Manning went 26 of 45 in the air for 256 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. Emmanuel Sanders was the beneficiary of two out of three Manning touchdown passes, with the third being to the late Demaryius Thomas.

    How Did the 2015 Season End for Both Teams?

    In 2015, both teams were very good that season. Despite splitting the season series with the Chiefs, the Broncos finished ahead of the Chiefs in the AFC West standings finishing 12-4 and winning the division crown as well as the No. 1 seed in the conference.

    The Chiefs were a game behind their divisional foe, as they finished 11-5 with a 10-game winning streak. Despite the streak, they were still one game behind the Broncos and earned a wildcard spot as the fifth seed in the AFC.

    The Chiefs won their wildcard matchup against the Houston Texans in dominant fashion, 30-0. However, they lost the next week in the Divisional Round to Tom Brady and the number two seed New England Patriots, 27-20.

    The Broncos, however, had a much longer run in the playoffs that included a first-round bye for being the conference’s top seed and a 23-16 win over the sixth-seed Pittsburgh Steelers in the Divisional Round.

    Next up were the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line. The Broncos got the better of Brady and the Pats that day as they squeaked by with a 20-18 victory that set up a Super Bowl appearance.

    Denver faced off against Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers at MetLife Stadium in Super Bowl 50 and capped off their dominant season with a championship, 24-10.

    How Historic Is the Chiefs’ Winning Streak?

    The Chiefs’ 15 straight wins against the Broncos is one of the longest active streaks in the NFL.

    Another active streak is the New England Patriots, who have matched Kansas City, winning their last 15 games against the New York Jets as well.
