Bye weeks are underway across the league, which means fantasy football managers who have been relying on Jordan Love or Kenny Pickett will have to go in a different direction at the QB position for their upcoming fantasy matchup.
Here are some of my start/sit options at the QB position for Week 6 of NFL action.

Which QBs Should You Start in Fantasy This Week?
Tate’s Other Week 6 Start/Sit Options: RB | WR | TE
Justin Fields, Chicago Bears
Justin Fields has bounced back in a very big way over the last two weeks. He has thrown for 617 yards and eight TD passes combined over this two-game stretch, including an additional 82 yards rushing.
The gaudy rushing numbers weren’t there like last season, but his jump in passing production certainly bodes well for his fantasy outlook for the remainder of the 2023 season.
He draws another favorable matchup in Week 6 against the Minnesota Vikings. Start him with confidence.
Which QBs Should You Sit in Fantasy This Week?
C.J. Stroud, Houston Texans
The fact that we are calling a 249-yard performance with a score and no interceptions a disappointing day at the office for a rookie quarterback making his fifth NFL start tells us just how well C.J. Stroud has played through the first month of the season.

Stroud’s streak of throwing multiple touchdown passes in a game may have ended, but his streak of not throwing an interception through his first 186 pass attempts stays intact for another week.
Unfortunately, he is set to face off his toughest tests to date in his NFL career when he takes on the New Orleans Saints this week.
The Saints’ defense just shut out the New England Patriots in their own building. In particular, the passing defense helped Mac Jones get benched for a second consecutive week after throwing for just 110 yards with two interceptions through the first three quarters.
If the Saints play at this type of level, Stroud’s fantasy ceiling feels a bit lower than normal in Week 6.

Should You Start Justin Fields or Patrick Mahomes?
Who would’ve ever thought we would actually be asking ourselves this question after these two quarterbacks faced off just three weeks ago?
While I am very tempted to go with Fields, given his recent excellence, Patrick Mahomes does have a favorable fantasy matchup against a struggling Denver defense.
They are both top-five plays for me this week, but I’m going with Mahomes.
Should You Start C.J. Stroud or Gardner Minshew?
Gardner Minshew is a great second option to have at quarterback and has the better matchup this week between these two signal-callers.

Throw in a little revenge game narrative in his return to Jacksonville, and this feels like a game where Minshew feels like a sneaky top-15 play at the QB position this week.
I love what I have seen from Stroud so far this season, but I’d rather go after the Jags secondary than the Saints between these two options.
