We are now in the middle stages of the fantasy football season. Player values have mostly crystalized. Draft day cost has given way to in-season performance, as we now have a larger sample size of what these players have done.
Unraveling all that we saw in Week 5 and translating it into Week 6 WR trade targets is where fantasy managers can differentiate themselves. To help you get your head around it all, here are our thoughts on some WRs to buy low or sell high entering Week 6.

Which WRs Should You Trade for in Fantasy Football?
Katz’s Other Week 6 Trade Targets: QB | RB | TE
Chris Olave, New Orleans Saints
This may be tough because touchdowns always skew perception, and Chris Olave finally found the end zone this week. However, Olave now has a total of three catches for 16 yards in his past two games.
After seeing double-digit targets the first three weeks, he’s seen 11 total in his last two games. That’s not going to hold. Olave is too talented, and I still believe he will be a high WR2 when it’s all said and done. If you can buy low, now is the time.
Tee Higgins, Cincinnati Bengals
It was against the Arizona Cardinals, but the Cincinnati Bengals looked as good as they have all season on Sunday. Ja’Marr Chase completely dominated in the game of his career with Tee Higgins out of the lineup.
But the real story is Joe Burrow looking more like Joe Burrow again.
Higgins is going to return, likely within a week or two. When he does, this version of Burrow looks fully capable of supporting both of them.
It’s been a disappointing start to the season for Higgins. He’s flopped all but one week, and now he’s injured. But he’s coming back, and when he does, he’s fully capable of being a WR2 for the rest of the season. If you can buy him at a WR3 price, I would do it.
Which WRs Should You Trade Away in Fantasy Football?
DeAndre Hopkins, Tennessee Titans
For the first four weeks, DeAndre Hopkins was a floor WR3, at best. This week, he went off for 8-140 on 11 targets.
Hopkins is a big name. It’s possible that someone in your league thinks this is a sign of him returning to being the elite WR1 he’s been for the majority of the past decade. The thing is, every WR1 smashes against the Colts, and this may very well end up being Hopkins’ best game of the season.
By no means should you sell low on Hopkins. If you can’t get plus value, just hang onto him. But if you can get good value for DHop in a trade, it’s worth exploring.
Gabe Davis, Buffalo Bills
I keep calling for Gabe Davis’ touchdown spree to slow down. Yet, it continues to persist, and he’s now scored in four consecutive games.
Davis isn’t a screaming sell. He’s still the WR2 in a Josh Allen offense, and there will always be upside for him. This is more if someone is valuing him as the WR2 he’s been performing as, especially in the wake of his 6-100-1 game in London.

Should You Trade Jordan Addison for Tee Higgins?
At first glance, this one seems glaringly obvious. Of course, it’s Tee Higgins. He’s got a history of WR1 or near WR1 production, and he’s playing with Burrow.
Higgins is going to be just fine. Jordan Addison has had a nice start to his NFL career, but he’s still been playing almost exclusively in three-receiver sets. K.J. Osborn has maintained the WR2 role.
Give me the Bengals’ WR2 over the Vikings WR3. Right?
The answer is still yes, but it’s closer than it should be. With Justin Jefferson possibly missing multiple weeks with a strained hamstring, Addison is now going to be an every-down player. Even though Osborn has been playing ahead of him, there’s a reason the Vikings drafted Addison in the first round — he’s a vastly more talented player.
Kirk Cousins has to throw to someone. It can’t all be T.J. Hockenson, and Addison could venture into WR2 territory for fantasy managers.

I have confidence Higgins will be back to his usual safe once he returns, but we aren’t quite sure when that is just yet.
I certainly wouldn’t make a 1-for-1 deal of Higgins for Addison, but if you’re a team that needs a win now, it might not be the worst idea to split Higgins into Addison and another piece. If you’re sitting pretty, the reverse is also true. Package Addison with another player to upgrade to Higgins.
Should You Trade Gabe Davis for Chris Godwin?
Over the past four weeks, Davis has scored four touchdowns, one in each game. That is four more than Chris Godwin has scored this season.
Playing in the Bills’ explosive offense, Davis’ touchdown upside is not going away. But Godwin’s volume is much more stable.
Godwin has more total targets than Davis this season, and he was on a bye last week. Davis hasn’t yet missed a game.
Touchdown variance is a thing. Scoring can be quite random and unpredictable. If Godwin had scored twice, or Davis scored two fewer times, or both, there would be far less of a comparison.
I trust Godwin far more than Davis going forward. If someone out there is willing to overreact to Davis’ touchdown streak, make the move.
