Who Did the Chicago Bears Draft In 2024? Picks, Analysis, and More

It's the Caleb Williams era in Chicago and despite their limited amount of 2024 draft picks, the Bears did everything they could to build around him.

The Chicago Bears traded away the top pick in 2023 only to get it back in 2024 as part of the bounty it received in a trade with the Carolina Panthers.

After another lackluster season led to trading away starting QB Justin Fields for 2025 NFL Draft capital, the Bears used their number one overall pick to draft QB Caleb Williams.

And with the rest, they worked to build around the future of their franchise. Let’s take a look at a full list of the Chicago Bears 2024 NFL Draft picks.

Who Did the Bears Draft in 2024?

Caleb Williams, QB, Round 1, Pick 1

Williams creates at a level rarely seen, but he also has the traits to win as a passer, both from within and outside the pocket. He’s a good processor who has great leverage IQ and pressure sense. And unlike many creators, he doesn’t bail from the pocket to a fault. He knows how to manage his spacing and manipulate throwing windows under center.

Overall, Williams’ accuracy, discretion, control, and RPO utility give him a relatively high operational floor. His unique creative propensity allows him to withstand adversity, and he undoubtedly has the arm velocity, elasticity, and free-platform throwing ability to elevate an offense and help an NFL team contend.

Rome Odunze, WR, Round 1, Pick 9

Over the course of his breakout 2023 campaign, Odunze displayed incredible upside across the three-level threat framework. Overall, he’s a versatile weapon with usage flexibility and dynamic RAC value, but he also has the operational utility to produce on day one in the NFL.

As a route runner, Odunze flashes exceptional spatial awareness, hinge fluidity, freedom of motion, manipulation ability, and throttle control. And as a catcher, he’s an elite instinctive force with an awe-inspiring blend of patience, ball-tracking ability, and coordination.

Kiran Amegadjie, OT, Round 3, Pick 75

As the Bears continue to build around franchise quarterback Caleb Williams, they added some protection in the trenches on day two. Chicago selected Yale offensive tackle Kiran Amegadjie with the No. 75 overall selection in the third round.

Amegadjie is a raw prospect, but his ceiling is absurdly high. Pro Football Network’s Ian Cummings discussed Amegadjie’s ability in his scouting report.

“Kiran Amegadjie possesses all the tools an NFL O-line coach could dream of,” Cummings said. “He’s not 100% healthy just yet and needs to grow fundamentally, but the Yale OL should hear his name called on late Day 2/early Day 3.”

    Tory Taylor, P, Round 4, Pick 122

While many downplay the value of special teams during the NFL Draft, that isn’t the case with the Bears this year. Chicago selected Iowa punter Tory Taylor with the No. 122 overall selection in the fourth round.

Many fans will likely be upset with this selection, but Taylor has the skillset to be a legitimate game-changer on special teams. His ability to flip the field will be valuable for Chicago.

Austin Booker, EDGE, Round 5, Pick 144

The Bears traded a 2025 fourth-round pick to land another selection on day three of the 2024 NFL Draft. Chicago selected Kansas edge defender Austin booker with the No. 144 overall selection in the fifth round. Pro Football Network’s Ian Cummings discussed Booker’s skillset in his scouting report.

“Austin Booker’s frame likely confines him to a 3-4 rush linebacker projection, where he’ll be able to play with more space from 7-tech and wide-9,” Cummings said. “If he can add more mass to his frame and keep following his upward developmental curve, he can be a quality starter — with pass-rush specialization and soundness as an option and as an exterior gap patrolman.”
