What time does Monday Night Football start tonight? Here's the Monday Night Football start time for the game between the Seahawks and Giants.

After two straight weeks of doubleheaders, Week 4 returns to the familiar with just one Monday Night Football game tonight. The Seattle Seahawks head to MetLife Stadium to take on the New York Giants to wrap up Week 4 of the 2023 NFL season.

After dropping their opening game, the Seahawks have been on a roll the last two weeks and hope to extend their win streak to three games. Do the Giants have any chance to stop them? Here’s the Monday Night Football start time, TV channel, and live stream options.

From the current NFL standings to team depth charts to coverage of every game in the 18-week NFL schedule, we have all the news from around the league to keep you up to speed!

What Time Does Monday Night Football Start Tonight?

The Seahawks travel from coast to coast to take on the Giants tonight at 8:15 p.m. ET on ESPN. While there’s no doubleheader tonight, there will be a dual cast of Monday Night Football, as ESPN will also air the game on ABC to account for the now-settled writers’ strike.

Additionally, Week 4 sees the return of the Manningcast for Monday Night Football. ESPN will not air the Manningcast on nights with doubleheaders, as one of the games is aired on ESPN2. Fans will get to watch Peyton and Eli give their commentary until the next Monday Night Football doubleheader in Week 14. Here’s how to watch the Seahawks and Giants game tonight.

    • Start time: 8:15 p.m. ET
    • Channel: ESPN, ABC
    • Live stream options: ESPN+, YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV

After getting thoroughly beaten by the Los Angeles Rams in Week 1, the Seahawks have bounced back to a team more reminiscent of 2022’s success. Scoring 37 points in the previous two games has QB Geno Smith and the offense in a better groove.

While Geno Smith bounced back in Week 2, Week 3 saw a return to form for second-year RB Kenneth Walker III. Walker rushed for just 64 and 43 yards in the first two games of the season, but against the Carolina Panthers, the talented back turned 18 carries into 97 yards and two touchdowns while also gaining 59 yards on three receptions. This is a wonderful sign, especially when facing off against one of the worst rush defenses in the league.

Walker has rushed for 10+ yards on 12.7% of 275 carries since the start of the 2022 season, the sixth-best among RBs. The Giants have allowed 10+ yards in 16.7% of carries in the same time frame, the worst in the NFL. Seahawks RBs also have four rushing touchdowns in the red zone this season, while the Giants have allowed five, tied for the third-most.

However, Seattle will need to sustain drives in the second half of the game to avoid a nailbiter. The Seahawks have gone three-and-out on just 6.2% of their first-half drives this season. That percentage skyrockets in the second half, with Seattle going three-and-out on 31.2% of drives.

The Giants’ defense is doing the opposite, forcing three-and-outs on just 7.1% of drives in the first half and 31.2% in the second. If the lead isn’t big enough by halftime, the Seahawks cannot let off the gas pedal in the second half.
