No defense has posted better results than the Cleveland Browns‘ through the first three weeks of the 2023 NFL season. But their top player — defensive end Myles Garrett — departed today’s game against the Baltimore Ravens with an injury. What is Garrett’s status for the rest of Sunday’s action?
From the current NFL standings to team depth charts to coverage of every game in the 18-week NFL schedule, we have all the news from around the league to keep you up to speed!
Myles Garrett Injury Update
Garrett got his lower left leg trapped underneath him when he tried to sack Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson. He was able to leave the field under his own power but quickly went to the medical tent on the Browns’ sideline.
Thankfully, Cleveland never announced an injury update on Garrett’s status, and he eventually returned to the field for a third-down play.
Myles Garrett is back on the field. Sigh of relief for #Browns

No NFL defense had given up fewer points or yards through the season’s first three weeks than the Browns’. Jim Schwartz has implemented an aggressive, attacking scheme that’s worked wonders against the Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, and Tennessee Titans.
Garrett, as usual, has been a massive part of that effort. He put up 4.5 sacks through three games and trails only the Detroit Lions’ Aidan Hutchinson in pressures among edge rushers.
Cleveland will surely monitor Garrett and perhaps monitor his snap count until the club decides he’s fully healthy.
