What’s at Stake
Both of these teams are searching for their first Big 12 win of the season, with Baylor coming off a 38-6 loss to Texas and UCF dropping their game last week against Kansas State 44-31.

The Bears have missed quarterback Blake Shapen, who has missed every game since their season opener with a sprained MCL. Shapen could return this week to lift a Baylor offense that has struggled to move the ball with him out. The other quarterbacks have thrown a single touchdown pass in their last three games. The Bears are only 85th in rushing offense this season as well.
Baylor’s offensive line, led by Clark Barrington, will look to rebound after giving up five sacks to Texas last week. They will have to square off with linebacker Jason Johnson, who leads the team in tackles.
UCF’s offense has been humming this season. The Knights are fourth in total offense, tied for 15th in passing offense, third in rushing offense, and 23rd in scoring. Despite missing quarterback John Rhys Plumlee, their offense hasn’t skipped a beat.
While Shapen’s status is day-to-day, it’s easy to understand why the markets favor a UCF offense capable of scoring points quickly.
Iowa State @ Oklahoma

What’s at Stake
Oklahoma started conference play with a solid 20-6 win over Cincinnati on the road. Iowa State won their conference opener also with a 34-27 win over Oklahoma State after back-to-back clunkers against Iowa and Ohio.
Iowa State’s offense is still trying to find their groove after being rocked with gambling suspensions in the offseason. The offense has been largely ineffective on the ground, averaging just 83.2 yards per game.
While quarterback Rocco Becht diced up Oklahoma State last weekend for 348 yards and three touchdowns, he has averaged 183 yards a game and posted a 4:3 touchdown-interception ratio.
Meanwhile, Oklahoma’s defense has experienced a rapid turnaround under Brent Venables. The Sooners allow just 2.6 yards a carry and are tied for second place with Ohio State in scoring.
These numbers, with a top-ten offense in total yards, passing yards, and scoring led by quarterback Dillon Gabriel, have Oklahoma confident in their chances for a Big 12 title this season.
Oklahoma could be looking ahead to their matchup against the Texas Longhorns next week, so Iowa State could make this a game if Oklahoma comes in unfocused. However, the markets don’t seem overly concerned about Iowa State likely for good reason.
Nevada @ Fresno State

What’s at Stake
The Nevada Wolfpack are searching for their first win since week 2 of last season, riding a 14-game losing streak that is the longest active in the FBS.

Under quarterback Mikey Keene, Fresno State has beaten two Power 5 opponents this season. They pummeled Kent State last week 53-10 and are looking to keep their success moving.
The Bulldogs are 21st in scoring offense and 14th in passing offense. Meanwhile, their defense is one of the best in the Group of 5 at 22nd in total defense and 39th in scoring.
Nevada’s offense is potentially underdoing a quarterback change after Brandon Lewis’ struggles. Lewis has yet to throw a touchdown, and the Wolfpack could turn to freshman A.J. Bianco in this one. The Wolfpack are close to the bottom in virtually every offensive category and are searching for a spark.
While Nevada has made it close in recent weeks against Kansas and Texas State, the markets don’t expect this one to be close.
