Things are getting tense in The Big Apple as the New York Jets face adversity after a 1-2 start. The Jets’ season has not gone according to plan, and with QB Aaron Rodgers going down in the opener, the season may be fading fast on a franchise that hitched its’ wagon to the future Hall of Fame QB.
Although there remains some optimism for a late-season return, the likeliest outcome is that Rodgers won’t step foot on a football field again until 2024. And despite being sidelined, Rodgers hasn’t stopped commenting on the current state of affairs around the Jets’ organization.

What Did Aaron Rodgers Say About the Jets’ Offense?
Rodgers, as he usually does, appeared on “The Pat McAfee Show” and opened up about things he noticed on the sidelines and around the organization.
“There’s some heated conversations on the sideline and different things. I think we need to hold our poise a little bit better — really just offensively. We need to not have some of those things happen on the sideline and to be a little better and be a little better competitors.”

Rodgers opened up about the potential in-fighting and the type of internal organizational turmoil that can tear a team apart from the inside out.
“I think there’s been too many little side conversations, and we just need to grow up a little bit on offense and lock in and do our jobs — everybody. And not point fingers, and that’s everybody,” Rodgers continued. “We don’t point fingers at the coaching staff, don’t point fingers at each other, just get back to work and get the job done.”

The Jets’ coaching staff has put on a brave face, but it is difficult to show much optimism with QB Zach Wilson under center. The third-year QB has torpedoed the Jets’ offense, and Rodgers laments his inability to be on the field with his teammates.

“It sucks not being there, it’s tough, it’s really hard. I feel like if I was there some of those things wouldn’t be happening. It’s more of the side stuff that I don’t like that I want to see us stick together through the tough times.”
