Fantasy QB Streamers and Rankings Week 4: C.J. Stroud and Russell Wilson Headline QB Options

If you’re looking for QB streamers, you are chasing fantasy football upside, understanding that this is the highest-scoring position in the game.

In Week 3, fantasy football QB streamers were not left out in the cold despite the big names largely performing up to standard.

Jordan Love and Andy Dalton were both top-10 producers at the position: Love without his top two weapons and Dalton not knowing he’d be starting until the second half of the week. If you’re fighting the good fight and piecing things together at the QB position, here are your best Week 4 options.

Top QB Streamers for Week 4

Derek Carr, New Orleans Saints (vs. Buccaneers)

The Saints are underwhelmed on Sunday against the Packers in their collapse but try not to overreact. This week, they add Alvin Kamara to the offensive mix and face a defense that certainly has struggled against the pass over the past year-plus.

With Kamara back to threaten defenses horizontally to complement what Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed offer vertically, this is a spot start I’m making – regardless of who it is that we expect to start for the Saints.

I’m hopeful that Carr can return from the shoulder injury that resulted in an early exit against the Packers, but if not, Jameis Winston is a fine plug-and-play option. Buying low on this entire Saints offense after the dud in Week 3 is something I’m actively trying to do heading into Week 4.

C.J. Stroud, Houston Texans (vs. Steelers)

With consecutive 20-point games and 121 pass attempts this season, Stroud has put himself on the radar of QB streamers. This is a young team playing with confidence, and that’s rarely a bad combination.

You could make the argument that Stroud lacks upside with his legs and doesn’t have an ace receiver – and you’d be right. But the rookie did feed eight different players multiple targets on Sunday and wasn’t forcing the issue.

There are signs of growth by way of opportunity, and that’s all we can ask for. This isn’t a play that comes without risk, but he certainly deserves attention due to how the franchise is developing him.

Russell Wilson, Denver Broncos (at Bears)

The veteran has more 300-yard passing games over the past two weeks than he had in the two calendar years prior. There are accuracy concerns (58.6% complete over the past two weeks), but there are playmakers around him who are capable of maximizing the passes he does complete.

I’m not going to hold last week against the Bears — the Chiefs can do that to anybody — but they were picked apart by Love and Baker Mayfield the two weeks prior. In streaming Wilson, you get per per-completion upside against a defense that struggles to string plays (let alone possessions) together.

Wilson won’t be ranked as a top-12 option at the position this week for me, but when it comes to Week 4 QB streamers, he’s a fine risk to take.
