Odell Beckham left the Baltimore Ravens‘ Week 2 game against the division-rival Cincinnati Bengals. What type of injury did Beckham suffer, and will he be able to return to Sunday’s action?
Odell Beckham Jr. Injury Update
Beckham went down with an ankle injury against the Bengals. He posted three receptions for 29 yards before departing.
The Ravens’ medical staff looked at Beckham on the sideline after he appeared to get banged up after making a catch. At one point, he put his gloves on and held his helmet as if about to return to the game.

Beckham eventually returned to the field at the start of the second quarter. But he must have aggravated his ankle injury at some point later in the first half.
Baltimore subsequently announced Beckham is out and will not return in Week 2.
However, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh announced after the club’s win that Beckham’s injury is not believed to be serious. Harbaugh will likely provide more updates as the week progresses.

OBJ had been playing in two-WR sets alongside standout rookie Zay Flowers, who has three catches for 64 yards against the Bengals thus far. With Beckham sidelined, former first-round pick Rashod Bateman should become Flowers’ running mate in base packages.
Beckham, of course, has a lengthy injury history and missed the entire 2022 campaign after tearing his ACL in the Los Angeles Rams’ Super Bowl 56 win. The 30-year-old inked a one-year, $15 million deal with the Ravens this offseason.
Fantasy Fallout From Beckham’s Injury
Beckham Jr. exited the game in the third quarter with an ankle injury. Prior to his injury, Beckham registered three receptions for 29 yards. With OBJ injured, look for Flowers to see an expanded role against the Bengals.
