“I Want Prime To Win Everything”- Exploring Deion Sanders’ Popularity

    Published on

Colorado head coach Deion Sanders is changing the college football landscape. It seems like everyone is a fan of Coach Prime and the Buffaloes.

Whether college or the NFL, the top football story in America is Colorado football head coach Deion Sanders. Sanders and the Buffalos have captivated football fans, and now the Colorado fan base is exploding across the country in leaps and bounds.

Chicago Bears receiver Equanimeous St. Brown recently spoke about “Coach Prime’s” impact on college football fans and NFL players. St. Brown played college ball for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and insisted his allegiance was with Prime.

“I want Prime to win everything based on how many doubters there are.” St. Brown confirmed he would root for Colorado over his alma mater.

    Why Is Prime So Popular?

For starters, if Sanders had not had the legendary career he had, none of his would matter. NFL players, in particular, wouldn’t have the respect for Prime like they do if he hadn’t shined in the league. People would call him out as a phony. But players respect Prime because he was one of the best players to ever play the CB position.

Deion could walk the walk, but he could also talk the talk. Sanders was always considered one of the most brass players in the league during his career at Florida State or in the NFL. Sanders was nicknamed Prime Time for a reason. Oddly enough, Sanders received the nickname ‘Prime Time’ following a high school basketball game, not football.

Sanders has evolved as a person over time and has become a mentor for many young athletes coming up. Sanders is the genuine article, someone who has been where they want to go to the NFL. Sanders isn’t commercial. There is something authentic about him.

Sanders is the type of person when they walk in the room, they own it. Sanders oozes charisma and charm. Who doesn’t like Coach Prime?

    Is Prime Changing College Football?

Sanders has changed the way teams view the college transfer portal. No one has seen a wide-sweeping change like what Sanders did by bringing in numerous transfers and removing players previously with the program. Sanders put his stamp on the Colorado program instantly. Sanders has his critics, but with a 2-0 start, no one can argue with the results.

Will Prime Coach Be in the NFL?

Maybe. After the transformation at Colorado and his impact across college football, who is to say Sanders couldn’t have a similar impact at the NFL level? The connection to Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys remains.
