If you are a fan of the Eagles or the Kansas City Chiefs, you already know who Jason and Travis Kelce are. However, you may not know who raised them. The spotlight put on the sons also shines on their parents — Donna and Ed Kelce. Let’s take a closer look at the two parents who raised two NFL superstars.
Who Is Donna Kelce?
Donna is the mother of Jason and Travis Kelce. Donna has become an increasingly more popular member of the Kelce clan over the last year with her custom-made Kelce jersey she wore highlighting both her sons, which she donned at the Super Bowl.
That jersey and the shoes she made are now forever enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame as memorabilia to remember Donna as the first mother to have both her sons square off against one another in the Super Bowl.
Donna has gained some popularity herself — she is gentle, energetic, and is always by her sons’ sides.
Who Is Ed Kelce?
Ed Kelce is the father of Jason and Travis, and while he has done some interviews here and there, he hasn’t been much for the public eye compared to Donna during this time.
A former steelworker, Ed was a firm believer in hard work and passed those values to his sons. Donna and Ed devoted much of their time to raising their children, but the couple eventually had a falling out. Nonetheless, their relationship remained professional, characterized by mutual respect, and ended in divorce.
Still, both parents remain actively involved in Travis and Jason’s lives, offering unwavering support to their sons despite no longer being together.
The Parents Stayed Together Through Divorce
While Donna and Ed were married for just shy of 25 years, they would get divorced during Jason and Travis’s childhood. In an untraditional move, the split couple lived together under the same roof to keep the family together and not disturb the young children.
It was a decision that neither Jason nor Travis fully understood at the time but appreciate now as they got older and can better understand the dynamic.

“I started making those connections when I was in middle school, and I realized that they were probably gonna split. But they stayed together for me and Jason’s benefit, I believe,” Travis said in the documentary.
The move was a beneficial one and is something that caused the family to grow and get stronger together.
Donna and Ed made it a point to attend their sons’ games, often photographed sitting in the bleachers, even if not together.
