Week 1 was brutal for plenty of fantasy football managers out there. Whether it was players like J.K. Dobbins or Aaron Rodgers going down with an injury, or some players simply not securing the roles that we anticipated, reinforcements are needed heading into Week 2!
With that in mind, here are my top overall waiver wire rankings going into Week 2. If you’re looking for more detailed explanations, including FAAB percentages to bid, make sure to check out our full waiver wire targets article.

The Top Players To Add in Fantasy Football
Kyren Williams, RB, Los Angeles Rams
Did you know that Kyren Williams out-snapped Cam Akers 26 to four in the first half of Sunday’s game? Williams was not only involved on offense, he was the clear lead option!

We know Williams parlayed this into a solid fantasy performance while on everyone’s bench or waiver wire, but he looks to be the main RB to roster in Los Angeles moving forward.
Coming out of Notre Dame, Williams always had the talent to be a viable fantasy starter, but athleticism concerns affected his draft stock.

That lack of top-tier athleticism didn’t matter much in Week 1 against the Seattle Seahawks, and he put together a solid performance. He should be picked up, but Williams may need to remain on your bench during a tough matchup in Week 2 against the San Francisco 49ers.
Allen Robinson, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers
Yes, Allen Robinson should be looked at on the waiver wire this week going into Week 2. We already have news that Diontae Johnson is set to miss some time with a hamstring injury, Robinson does become at least a Flex option over that time period.
Even in Week 1, we saw Robinson see eight targets and finish as a top-36 WR on the week. Heading into Week 2, Pittsburgh’s offense should rebound in an easier matchup against the Browns’ defense, which makes Robinson a viable play in full-PPR formats.
With matchups against Las Vegas and Houston also on the horizon, Robinson’s a top-10 pickup on the week.
